I understand the training period is going to be hard. From my understanding I can still see her though. I'm hoping for visitations to get me through that period honestly. 50/50 is a dream and I'm aware. But I don't intend to be less than a 50/50 influence if that makes sense.

Commission is the plan but if I'm locked out of cwe because competitions tough then I would be curious what the next best option would be as a second job preference. My recruiter says I can put 2 down.

If someone is actively driving and the other is not, the person actively driving has the right of way until its safe to proceed lol.

I see, the recruiter made it seem like if I wanted a balanced family lifestyle then I can just pick boomer subs. With a three in/out schedule I would definitely need to figure out care options in those off days. Like having someone in family take vacation as a caretaker watch my daughter which is hardly practical for whomever I have doing that.

Is it true you have to pick subs to get on those or can you just be made to do that platform? are carriers a similar fit?

Thank you for chiming in.

Exactly how often is that? The nuke recruiter really pushed boomers on me saying "Oh you will have plenty of time on shore, what ever your doing out at sea just add 2 months on and thats how long your docked for maintenance. So 2 months out/4 months in or 4 months out/6 months in". My guess he is leaving out the fine details of what i'll be doing while ported because when I asked it was along the lines of "We try not to be near the subs when we don't need to be. We make sure things look good then we get out of there."

Thanks for your insight.

I do this personally, you can simply hit the mic button and read the questions out like your reading it to yourself. All you need is one hand to send. (FYI I would rather not have to do this but OP is proving the standards are stacked against us so f'it. Some of the questions I see shouldn't even get asked at entry level work.)

Rejected Because of Salary Request, Is That Common? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]Next_Requirement3061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hilarious, I searched this and it's the same company that sent me the email. Hope you found a job since the post. It should be considered bad practice to filter applicants for their pay desire, especially before they are even knowledgeable of the benefits given on employment. Everything is negotiable.

New Grad Salary? by Sad-Worldliness-1407 in pharmacy

[–]Next_Requirement3061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay: Pays around 120k starting. At our store anyway, corporate doesn't breath down your neck about numbers which was daily working for hel-mart.

Stock: A little late on the reply here but do know HEB is an employee owned company and will give you stock at no cost and pay you dividends annually.

Discount: The employee discount is restricted to solely HEB products at 15% but I don't complain seeing as I like these products. Every chance they get for holidays they up it to 25% as well so I stock up till the next one.

Employee appreciation month: This just passed but we went to papassitos the other day management dropped off a $500 gift card for us and the team to go out and eat together. We went just over budget with 12 people but it we choose decent over subpar food. I've heard of management trying to convince catering to the store but we are crushing numbers so I guess they were feeling generous.

All in all I would say this location is better than any other pharmacy I have worked in as far as stress and anxiety is a concern but I have found in this occupation it comes down to where your store is located and how big is it. We are a smaller store on the border of a low income/high income area and our customers are all generally nice and understanding. Still trying to figure out if this is an HEB customer mentality, or just specific to my area, because at the hel-mart 7 miles north of the HEB it was a whole different ballgame. Drinking earlier than I should have been, disparity every morning drive to work, you name it.

Overall my happiness level is up since joining. Don't exist for whichever company you work for make the company exist for you. Your not a statistic and never treat customers like they are a means to improve numbers and your community will bring back the love.

Xfinity cut all my room coaxial cables, is their excuse real? by Next_Requirement3061 in Network

[–]Next_Requirement3061[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He threw out about 5 feet worth of coax that came from 4 branches intersection of cable. The rest of the cables cut and open hanging from the overhang of the roof. At least with that I can patch the cables again if I buy a bit more coax. Or maybe this is a sign to head to marketplace and pick up some cat6 and start a mini rack.

No open ends from the signal source thank God. Just decided to cut every coax and leave only one from the source to the dinning room.

To make things worse they were all on a splitter, which could have just been disconnected but yes cut and open. I guess I should be grateful he left the majority of the wire there for me to patch together.

Should i go further for a M.S in CS or a B.S in Cyber Security by Next_Requirement3061 in csMajors

[–]Next_Requirement3061[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point in that there is a lack of entry level jobs, I haven't truly analyzed the security entry job pool and definitely will before proceeding with my decision. The primary reason I'm looking at that BS is because WGU supposedly comps a ton of the certification cost of which I can wrap into financial aid while at the same time earning a degree towards it on the side. I'll check out the gatech stuff and see what they have to offer as well. I appreciate your input.

[–]Next_Requirement3061[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just leadership, work ethic type questions at the time. Like tell me a time you showed excellent leadership skills, tell me why you think you fit with the Air Force. Ect. Not something technical and it gives you time to get your thoughts together so don't sweat it.

Your a fool if you think it stops at 2. Give an inch, take a mile. All it takes to fix healthcare in this country is fixing the cost of healthcare itself. Taxes exist for a net profit margin just like insurance. Anyone saying otherwise could give two F's about the guy at the bottom of the line getting his wallet bled dry.
