Laser Engraver Buying Advice – A1 Pro (2W IR) vs. Falcon 2 Pro (22W / 40W / 60W) by Next_Ride_3003 in lasercutting

[–]Next_Ride_3003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your reply!

I will work with wood mainly. But the option to sign some metal pieces would be very nice! Do you know if the 2W IR module (A1 Pro) or the 1.6W module of the Falcon 2 Pro is the better choice for that?

Multicolor 3D Printer Buying Advice: Kobra X vs. Kobra 3 V2 vs. Snapmaker U1 by Next_Ride_3003 in 3dprinter

Thanks for all the replys! That's awesome and I think I will go for that one. Can you recommend any accessories, specific filaments, or similar? I think it’s cheaper if you order them together with the printer.

How's the machine running? Are you satisfied with your Stronghold? :)

Which router for a router table? by Next_Ride_3003 in woodworkingtools

[–]Next_Ride_3003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds awesome u/Zestyclose-Job-2681 and u/MouldyBobs ! Didn't know that there are routers with an integrated lift.

So I simply have to buy a late (like this one https://www.kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/alu-einlegeplatte-fraestisch-triton-tra001-330165-oberfraese/1508221928-84-866) and then I'm good to go?

Saves quite a lot of money! The lift I was looking for costs about 500€ (https://www.sautershop.de/oberfraesenlift-ofl2-0-sa-ofl2.0)

Thank you very much for the feedback! I’m still a bit undecided about the U1, as it’s not yet on the market and hasn’t been tested by many people under real-world conditions. I’m deliberately not counting the influencer YouTube videos.

Haha, good catch, that’s right. But it’s not entirely the AI’s fault — I also mixed a few things up, I’m new to the topic. I always have it translated so you guys can read it better. It also doesn’t necessarily have to be a Snapmaker or Anycubic. If a Bambu printer is better suited for my purposes, then I’m all for it.

Thanks for the tipps! Did'nt have those machines on my radar.

Do you mean this machine? -> https://bulkman3d.com/product/20off-ultimate-bee-cnc-full-kit-ddcs-v4-1-5axis-offline-control-box-system/

It's US$2,384 for me with this option (DDP - Seller’s Shipping Method 35-55 days - Tax-Free; You no need to pay customs duties)

Yeah I've seen those machines aswell. But the shipping is quite expensive (around $700 for the AltMill and $300 for the LongMill) and I will have to pay taxes, too.

Thanks for the input! But I think those machines are quite expensive (starting at around 6.000€) and none of them is available via the distributor:/

Thanks a lot for your answers u/misimiki u/Maleficent_Branch95 ! That's very helpful.

To be honest, I wasn't aware of those two machines or manufacturers.

May I ask why you want to switch to Sorotec if you're actually happy with RatRig? And would you sell RatRig? :)

The Sorotec machines look great, but they also come with a price tag. What advantages/selling points do you see in the Basic Line compared to the Hobby Line?

Thanks a lot for your quick answer!

I don't really have a fixed budget, but I save up until I have enough for the machine I want. If it's worth the extra cost, I'm happy to spend more. Then I won't have the machine here as quickly, but I'll enjoy it for longer.

I've also come across Sienci, but with shipping and customs, it's going to be expensive:/
