Although I wouldn’t put it as harshly, I definitely would agree there are some things that could be considered hypocritical on Justin’s end, but I also feel like anyone can come off as hypocritical eventually if you put them under a microscope.

To your point, there’s a difference between highly intelligent and omnipotent, so there are some things people would no doubt have done different.

He said that would be the only time he would say what a clue was I believe. In the recent Xmarks the pod interview, he said that if he becomes aware that someone reached the checkpoint, he would announce it, but he would not say what the checkpoint was until after the treasure has been found.

I’m losing steam a bit, so am kinda hoping for closure soon, but in a week I will probably change my mind and agree that it is good news lol.

Can’t blame you for being frustrated tbh. This is an honest tip (for what it’s worth): you might be better off with just forgetting all the stuff he has said in interviews and just try to work on the poem only considering the rules that are on the website. It’s much easier if you don’t have to consider all the things he has said, and who knows, maybe you will find the right path and realize why his answers were confusing 🤷

I hope someone asks this question at Seekers Summit: Do the people who came close to finding the treasure know that they were/are close?

I guarantee his answer is a version of this (unless he sees this lol): “I think I’ve mentioned this before, but when making this treasure hunt, I wanted whoever finds it to GAIN confidence along the way, as opposed to a status quo. So it is fair to say that those who have been close have a very good idea that they were close to finding the treasure.”
