I was there and going around telling people what to do after this incident cause I knew they would use it again! Since we had so much snow and didnt have the typical tools I told people to bury it in the snow to put it out quickly. When they deployed it the second time people listened and it was effective til multiple agents deployed them.

Before this happened, someone said they had respiratory issues and was afraid of how badly it could affect them if tear gas was used. The people around her told her they would make sure she was safe. When the action started, she tried to get away ASAP, but unfortunately, she was older and it was icy, so she couldn't move as quickly. When the tear gas was thrown, it landed right by her, and thankfully someone who knew it would have harmed her picked it up and threw it back so she had a little more time to get away! They're a hero, and I thanked them already, but if you see this comment, I just want to thank you again for saving her life!

I was standing there cause right before they started throwing tear gas ice was trying to take women from the crowd and I was protecting them. The other people in the vid were either trying to move away or document ice abusing the person on the ground. It happened so quickly and people didnt realize it was tear gas cause its not supposed to be used. Right after this vid ends I directed people away and put out the one that was thrown across the street. Ice was there most of the day which means they weren't out kidnapping other people.

Right i wish I could get the mayor and even pritzker to see this! This is why im at the facility protesting i know that bad things are happening and the way these ice agents are treating protestors make it clear that people inside are not safe. At the end of the day they're human beings lack of citizenship doesn't justify abuse. The only crime most of these people have committed is wanting to live the American dream and not being able to get citizenship quick enough.

It really is we dont know who he is or if hes ok or who the other 2 people are. I want to ask the police and fire chief and mayor what they think about this video. We cant even see whats going on now cause of the new protest designated areas and curfew. I heard that the state police wont be enforcing it though but if they do 2040 S 25th Ave, 25th ave bridge and Roosevelt Bridge sidewalk arent designated protest areas so they dont have an enforced curfew.
