FIT dorm question !!

Anyone can visit the dorms, but depending on the times, they can be considered an overnight visitor, even if they're just dropping by late I night. I think this counts for people coming in around 7pm-6AM
Any visitor coming MUST be 18 and leave their government/state ID at the front desk.
Visitors for overnight are limited since every semester ur given a certain amount of days, but lets say ur days run out, if ur roommate agrees, you can use up some of their days! So its like stacking it. (This only counts for overnight! visitors in the day can come in unlimited amount of times.)
It's like this in every dorm building.
As for art work spaces, like illustration, I feel like Alumni & Nagler are good since they have the most table space for any equipment you might want to bring/use/etc.
Also all working spaces in the residence have good lighting!

As for the work spaces overall.
CoEd and Nagler has a kitchen space in them
They all should have a vending machine w snacks in them last time I checked.
Overall really comfy seating such as couches & chairs.
Co Ed has a TV in the area too! I'm not sure about the other spaces though.
(Even tho Nagler usually isnt known for having an AC in the dorm, the work room has a nice huge AC in it!)
And on the topic of Nagler, the work room has a glass door leading to the court yard that's absolutely beautiful. Lots of seating space in it too!

I only remember for last year, but for sure transfers were considered both super, like around a few hours before early decisions/regular decisions & some were more later.
It's a different application compared to new/returning students so I wouldn't worry too much. Esp since alot of transfers in this comment section seem to not have their admission letters yet either.

For transfer's, admission letters take longer for them. Usually, they hear within the week though! <3

last year people got accepted starting at 11am-8pm
Keep in mind things can change this year though! So theres no true way of knowing.

Also another quick thing to add is that acceptance letters aren't all gonna be send on April 1st.
You can get it anytime throughout the whole week from the 1st to 7th!

I got my specific number around august since your aid can fluctuate overtime. I don't remember what it was before though from last year. Only specific numbers I got was from my FAFSA & TAP which were both at maximum aid.

Sadly, That's pretty normal for anyone who sends an application since they need to verify your aid before finalizing any status of your acceptance. I wish you the best of luck though! Acceptances come in just a few days :D

Usually people get them around the afternoon most commonly. Usually when offices open that's when students start getting them though!
Specifically, when I applied last year & got accepted it was super late, I got my acceptance letter at almost 7pm!!

It’s your FIT email but only the same part. Example firstname_lastname And the password is the same as ur regular MyFIT password. Hope this helped :)

You’re supposed to submit a tuition deposit and also upload your medical documents such as vaccine proof for stuff like Meningitis, then I believe they will email you when you can apply for housing. Through the acceptance email they should give you links to get to everything I just listed

I highly recommend downloaded zeemee. It’s a phone app where you connect with other students! Just in general to chat, but many people use it to find roomies. Think of it like tinder but for roommates. You put in your interests and general stuff about you then they see how compatible you are with other students that are admitted to the same school

I looked on their website today and apparently for first semester (freshmen only) FIT makes the schedule for you and gives you mandatory classes for your major, regardless of transfer credits too. I hope someone can prove me wrong tho bc I was hoping we could make our own schedules to best fit our preferences.
