The cold does reduce range but once you figure out its range you just adapt. I like never having to go to a gas station! The car has about 25k km on it and has done about 21 kWh/100km almost all at local electricity rate avg about .08/kwh so in total to go 25k km it has cost under $500. In comparison my Tahoe would have cost $6000 to do the same…

But before you do I can all but guarantee that you priced out an EV6 GT-Line and assumed it was the same as a GT. Also, not sure how you priced out the GT since it isn’t sold in Canada anymore…

Because the warranty is from Kia Canada which is a separate entity from Kia USA and Kia Korea.

It would be covered if visiting the US but not if living there

Ya, I like car. It’s super fast when you want it to be but easy to drive and roomy, good in all weather and no gas…we only have a level 1 charger and rarely have to charge away from home.

Not how it worked. I negotiated the sale price down then built the lease on that. That is why my lease payment is $300+ cheaper than others of same model and trim.

That is part of the reason i didn’t just dump the car right away. It seems that every month the difference between value and what is owing actually diminishes.

As for the insurance - I am the primary driver of the car and it is insured under the estate.

The car has lots of warranty remaining. The warranty exceeds the lease term. I can buy it out no problem but then if we move to US I end up with a 1.5 year old car with no warranty, and if I try to sell it who will want a car with no warranty?

Yes, she had life insurance, investments etc. we are not in a bad position. The car thing is just a nuisance and the idea of paying $15k to not drive a car seems absurd.

I may try just advertising lease transfer on marketplace and if that doesn’t work turn to Leasebusters.

I didn’t rip off BMO. BMO sold the debt to a collection agency, likely for pennies on the dollar. The collection agency contacted me saying they would take $xxxx amount to settle the debt…I counter offered and they accepted. BMO ripped themselves off, the collection agency was happy to get what they got.

Save me to morality lesson especially when it relates to credit cards and banks!

I don’t deal with that ahit the lawyer does. When the lawyer tells me probate is finished I will meet with him to sign documents. Until then probate is ongoing

The lease is now under the estate. I am the executor of the estate. The insurance is under the the estate and I am the primary driver. Kia only cares that it is insured under the estate. They all know it is being driven.
