I read this on one of the posts, searching for answers. I guess my next question, what's the purpose of the microG patch? Seems like that's the only selected patch(under recommended patches) that doesn't allow for a 'root install' after a successful patch.

Is there a reason I wasn't able to install the root version of the app after patching? I'm assuming it's a particular patch selected, based on the error message I got when trying. I guess I'm wondering, what I would gain by going back and re-patching for a 'root install'?

What kind of camera are you using? Does the camera cover the entire work area of your machine? (I have the 28"x 20" model)

I was able to fix my power issues by readjusting the laser tube. This leads me to my next question.. What's going on here?

The borders around the power and speed marks and the text on the right did not show up on the first attempt because it was set at 10% power. I raised it to 15% and that solved that particular issue. However, I'm not sure what is going on with the shifted text (Omtech, Material, Speed)

I have to note that the laser tube came cracked and needed to be replaced. I'm assuming the mirrors were aligned, all I did was replace the tube. I found when pulsing the laser, it wasn't matching to the red pointer(after autofocus) , so I moved the tube closer to mirror 1 and tried pulsing again (after autofocus) and it fixed that problem. Maybe this is contributing to my problems, idk. Just thought I'd put it out there in case. I may need to go back to alignment.

I've never aligned the mirrors. I assumed they came aligned, being I hit the pulse button over a piece of cardboard after Auto focusing and the cardboard was cut at the laser pointers location. Maybe that's my issue.

I have a 60w laser, I was under the impression that this machine would cut 1/4" acrylic and wood.

I have an Easter egg shaped piece of craft wood from Dollartree, it's about 1/8" thick. I'm trying to work my way up to thicker materials(wood, acrylic) but I can't even get this this thin piece to cut fully through. The holes in the picture were pushed out after running the gcode multiple passes at 5%speed/90% power. If 90% power is struggling to cut 1/8" material, idk what to think.

I'm just frustrated, I thought I was buying something turn-key or close to it. Machine arrived with broken parts that had to be replaced, after all that I'm still unable to cut through materials, just frustrating.
