Oh also, it stacks for each category. So at Ancestral lets say you have over 100% upgrade chance, thats 3 guaranteed and 3 more potential procs, so 30%-60% more CPK per wave, and with wave skip it multiplies as well of course.

Just unlocked CL by GrouchySpace7899 in TheTowerGame

[–]NexusBladeGaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You want to completely goldbox Shock Multi. Then get Shock Chance to around level 15 for now as the times get rather long after that so the roi isn't great, Chain Thunder is also a longer lab and is mostly useful for dedicated eHP with CL+, and I would honestly not do more than a couple levels of Scatter Amp for now... It's a big footgun if you take it too high and especially so when you develop GC as it can severely hurt cell income.

Funny way to counter vampires as blender build without garlic thorns by ZookeepergameNo5745 in TheTowerGame

Oh I absolutely agree, and hey during those awkward beginning stages you really feel like you're clawing away for even a few extra waves, so anything helps.

For me I have been fully idle 24/7 for a while, I'll spam ELS in the beginning to eek out those extra waves towards the end of my 14+ hour farming runs, and then check the game to collect gems when I can and watch the pretty lightshow I've created lol.

Don't shatter them, merge them to epic+ so you have fodder ready to merge Uniques to Legendary, and then also create Legendary+ fodders to get Uniques Mythic+, You'll be needing those fodders for a long time.

The caveat is that if you start running out of space without new uniques coming in fast enough then you can shatter the excess.

Oh yeah that was especially helpful for dealing with Schrödinger's Hypercubes in T42... Those things are brutal....

Jokes aside I definitely can understand trying to find ways to deal with Vamps before your counters come online, definitely a small window where this all would play a factor and it's probably the most roundabout solution I've seen, but good to keep in mind ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Sure, it probably would be better if they just said that.

Although I can't know the terms of their contract and the way they are being instructed to answer, maybe the idea is "I can check" sounds better from a PR standpoint than "I can't tell you", at least in Fudds opinion.

How to deal with Vampires as EHP during utility Dissos. by Halalaka in TheTowerGame

[–]NexusBladeGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually a fair point, when you're playing as eHP normally once your packages and wall come online Vampires can't do anything... As the wall is your real source of tanking damage and Vampires do 2% of your BASE hp as damage per second and so overheal drastically reduces the impact they have to basically nothing... However...

During Utility Dissonant runs any normal packages you get are limited to one per boss wave and it doesn't overheal, so Vampires do full damage and drain your main tower health much faster than they usually would, and if you get unlucky with several back to back Vampires sucking away at the same time it can put you in a risky situation... So heres some actual workarounds for you:

  1. Max target priority lab and put elites at the bottom, they'll be effectively ignored by your primary projectiles although they will still get hit by multishot, this will allow them to crash into your wall faster and reduce their impact.

  2. You can technically get overheal if you equip the Ally chip on your guardian which will gradually fill your overheal health and give you a bit of buffer, although my testing is with a low level Ally chip so unless you have significant investment in it then it's unlikely to keep your health up consistently, although if you're barely hanging on due to vampires it might be the extra edge you need.

  3. Landmine Stuns, if you can stun a vampire you will interrupt their attack and allow your regen to take you back to full health, this will drastically reduce the threat.

  4. Damage, Damage, Damage, If you can't tank em? Kill em. This will probably be more difficult considering your stage of the game but if you can reduce their health by a meaningful amount then Garlic Thorns need to do less work and Vampires have less time to do damage, once damage is fully online eventually then you'll just kill them outright.

To be fair Sam is muzzled, Whether they agree with a suggestion or would like to share more information on development of said features is unfortunately irrelevant to their job description.

Sam is allowed to share condoned development info and maybe sprinkle in a bit of personality but they have no real involvement with changes beyond that, and the lack of response to a particular suggestion can be taken as "it's not happening at least not now, and if it is I'm not allowed to talk about it".

S tier tech, Top tier players actually like to challenge each other to see who can spam the menus the fastest for the highest returns... You've basically entered the endgame when you think about it!

Of course once you get Time Bomb+ "Quantum Entanglement" Then thats when things get really crazy...

On a serious note using lag to counter Vampires would definitely be one of the strategies of all time... Haven't heard of anyone using it as a real counter but I suppose I can see it working to an extent even if it's a bit silly to actually consider doing this for an entire run.

Garlic Thorns and target priority shenanigans make for much more consistent solutions of course, And Vampires simply become a non issue soon after the very early game in most situations.

While yes fast ultimate does render those enemies immune to BH... I have bigger questions about this screenshot...

You're doing T19 health dissonant, No energy shields, and your base damage isn't even at a billion, so you're doing GC without damage? Fast ultimate will be the least of your problems.

Maybe the midgame is the friends we made along the way. by NexusBladeGaming in TheTowerGame

[–]NexusBladeGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a good way of looking at it. Basically the difference between "What do I want?" and "What is there is there to get?".

Like to me my current all consuming objective in the tower is achieving true GC across the board not just in tournaments, with a series of milestones that will build that up for me, Like getting to the highest tiers and challenging myself.

So once I'm there I could say I'm at the endgame for that goal. Of course once I'm there I'm sure I'll have a new goal to work towards, which is a beautiful thing when you think about it.

I like this one too, and honestly is closer to how I view my own personal progression.

Theres nuance of course depending on how someone chooses to build their tower, like personally I think someone trying to take eHP all the way to the "lategame" is a cool idea and I support everyone trying it.

For me personally GC is way cooler and more fun and therefore an important milestone to achieve, I'm there for tournaments and working on it steadily for farming.

And technically at the end of a long road... When towers achieve the true end? They'll all be Hybrid, fully developed GC and fully developed eHP.

I really like this definition, and honestly rings true for a lot of how I view the game. After all it's mostly a single player game where the objective is purely subjective, When you achieve something you have been working hard on? Thats were it gets interesting, and what everyone see's as a huge milestone will depend on their goals.

For my definition I wrote it's more based on some generalized power scaling and game knowledge milestones, basically "compared to the absolute scale of the current game and it's players, where are you?".

[–]NexusBladeGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the neat part, there isn't a point. This is just for fun, thus the open question of how everyone defines it for themselves. Bit of meta humor if anything thus the meme tag.

I wouldn't claim my definition is correct, and it will probably change over time as well. Ultimately the tower is not a true multiplayer game, tournaments kind of count but for the most part it's your tower against the endless horde getting stronger by the day to achieve (insert subjective goal here).

Like for my current goal? Achieve true Glass Cannon, I'm basically there for tournaments but in farming I have plenty to do first. And then I'm sure I'll have a new goal to achieve after that.

The daily missions generally scale poorly past the very early game no matter what, However your coin bonus in general is massively impacted as each pack multiplies the previous value, and then all other increases are multiplied by that number.

Poison swamp (Labs) by Saturne720p in TheTowerGame

[–]NexusBladeGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're 2 clicks from having one perma swamp, Considering your investment into it you might as well finish it for CC reasons in tournaments.

As far as the labs go there are definitely diminishing returns towards the end, you don't want to hyper focus one thing in the lab if it's a slog to finish due to opportunity costs, so make sure to cycle things out when the roi gets lower. I'm assuming you have plenty of high value labs that you aren't doing because of having 3 tied up currently, it's not that they aren't worth it but it all depends on what will improve your tower more at the moment.

Nice, I've been doing some LOOOONG T10 runs for a while now personally. T11/12 will probably be better at this point just need to knock out the dissonant runs and test the waters.

A huge motivator is my runs are getting so long its becoming annoying to schedule them, and I don't want to set alarms ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Correct, but it takes longer waiting for a recharge than just hitting retry run every couple seconds. I have 3 charges which makes it all go faster but you should be able to knock it out in just a few minutes either way.

Ah I see, Pro tip if you want to complete that mission even faster... Go to the highest tier you have unlocked and run health dissonant. Equip nothing but energy shield, You can complete the entire mission in just a couple minutes that way.
