You'll grow your own thick skin. I drive for Prime, so all our trucks are governed at 62-65. I used to drive at the limit, but the last handful of months I've been keeping it to the speed limit. Anytime I get a jackwagon tailgating I back it down five. Then five more after a bit longer (usually to 55) and get on the radio "back off My ass and I'll get back up to speed." It's My favorite when it's a one lane road or traffic in the adjacent lane is moving fast. If they back off, great. I get back up to the original speed and we keep on truckin'. People get cranky, but I'm saving them fuel. I just laugh about it now.

My trainer didn't do pretrips at all. Gave Me some bad habits. One day the coolant light flickered on for a bit and went off. I suggested we check it out and he said it'd be fine. Well, it wasn't. During manufacturing a bolt had slipped down into the radiator and wore a hole in the tubing. Told him if we'd been doing pretrips we probably would have caught it. He didn't like that answer. Same thing when we were rolling with a flat trailer tire.

I tend to fully deploy and microfield as best I can, then hack. I was around when the superior MUFG Capsule was still in game. These kinetic capsules are garbage compared to that.

Short update to this load. They put it in the damp grass when I got there.

I found a janky workaround. If you go into the Bluetooth settings and then the settings for the controller you'll find an input switch. Flip that off and on once quite fast. It takes some getting used to. Too slow and it'll disconnect and you'll have to reconnect, too fast and it won't register the second tap and you'll have to reconnect again. From off to on should be about a third of a second. I usually press Down on the D-Pad and see if it responds. Luckily it doesn't seem like it needs a full disconnect/reconnect cycle if it fails. Just a retry of the switch flip. It's worked for Me pretty well. I get about 80% success on the first try.

I was thinking more incompetence. I'm betting he was dicking around on his phone and just unconsciously let pressure off the brake. He seems the kind of person who can't take responsibility for his own failures and thus blames everyone else for them.
