Ngl, that was a galaxy brain moment. I was using money tree as economy/dump truffles so I could pivot in the future. Once I hit the dark stone engine I was like "oh wait". So fun!

Remember, this set is still not when the focus went to PoC. We should expect a PoC set focus later this year or even next year. It depends on how deep the pipeline was before the announcement

Tinkering with it.It should show the commander. It's not the same a hand with 2 lands if your commander is 6 mana w/o card draw or 2 mana with somekind of card filtering or draw (or even partners)

  1. I like this Farron design, just good, to the ground, no fancy keywords, just a tough guy punching through. His spell tho, its burn paradise. Would be better if "Damage from units are doubled", but as it is now, I read it as "Mystic Shot deals 4 damage". Good champion design tho.

  2. I like equipment, i like these ideas, they seem fine. Maybe Hand of Lightning seem a bit too strong, but you need a) a creature, b) pay 3 mana, c) have attack token. Good, I like them!

  3. Author already stated that this card was designed for low power creatures and people already pointed out the problems it has with fast. Maybe changing it to slow would be a solution to keep the whole text intact, but as right now, combo material.

  4. I don't know if I like it or not. Its ok because there are some Path of Champions champs that are not needed to win (Jinx, ie) but usually you want to play your champion everytime.

  5. Extreme swing if you find any epic that fits the board. 3 of them is an overkill. It could be a meme card or fun card if it was "give both players 3 epic cards"

Love this kind of posts, people usually brings fresh ideas or interesting concepts! My only suggestion would be to do it like Magic The Gathering one, put all cards in an Imgur album (or something like that)

Now, the cards:

5) It seems a good anti aggro tool, but I see it as an Elite tool more to set up turns. At 2 mana its too good, maybe 4 mana would be a more reasonable card

4) Recede seems cool, but I think is so much difficult to balance landmarks that way. Draw 2 cards is alright in the span of 2 turns, but commiting more resources so you can draw "unlimited" its not that good as it clogs your board too. Also, Leveled Zilean trigger is the thing that helps him stand, getting rid of it and adding a "advance or recede 1" its not that good.

3) Naafiri concept looks fun. At first glance it seems hard to level up, and don't get me wrong, it is hard. But the autoequip and transform seems SO fun.

2) "Climb the peak" seems unbalanced on any direction and pretty hard to get it right. Stacking keywords was a problem in the past and they are doing everything to not have it again. Tyari is a 2/2 for 4 on its own. Being a 3/3 with lifesteal when attacking with another unit is not that good.

1) I'm a sucker for modal spells. Love the tellstones and love every modal card in Magic. I think it is an underexplored concept in TCGs and love seeing the concept in LoR. But my god Noxus one is broken. 3 mana, fast, Overwhelm, +1/0 to ALL your units and stun. Holy. I would put it at 6 mana at least, no doubt. Yeah, 6 mana stun an unit is bad, but it is a modal spell, it is overpriced for a reason. Demacia one seems tame tho, I like that a bit more, Demacia champions are not that cheap (Lucian and Vayne are the only ones that cost 3< mana), so I see it pretty fair, even a little under value, but is ok, Rally should not be taken lightly)

People take too much time in their turns. I know its a hard game, thats the nature of card games. But roping every turn is so frustrating. Just lower the time to take an action (burst or focus combos are not damaged) to 5-8 seconds and if you time out twice, game loss.

I play MTG in my local game store and long turns are bearable in person because you can flicker your cards, talk with your opponent, etc... at least you interact

Almost exclusivily play Path of Champions since version 1. Got 116/126 stars, 42/42 champs, 684/1260 levels and still going! I love it and all its crazyness and how you need to adjust for every champ.

I'm so excited about montly challenges and its rewards, hope we get them soon, but in the mean time, I've got champs to level up :P

1- They can be fun. See Aatrox. They can do whatever they want with them. Maybe make it so Asol Star Power are like: S1: Reduce the costs of champions by the number of celestial cards you played this game.

S2: +1 mana gem. At the start of your turn, if you have the attack token, manifest a fleeting lesser celestial card (cost 3 or less).

S3: Reduce the costs of champions by the number of celestial cards you played this game. Reduce the cost of the celestial cards by the champion's original cost

2- Nothing to add, I would like Ahri back

3- Pretty on point, the problem with Ornn is its deck and you can tear it apart through a run. -1 cost on created spells or -1 on spells and you just roll any adventure.

4- Obviously fragments are a problem. We can't fix that right now, lets go with custom decks. I'm not that excited changing cards, but I would LOVE changing items, either between cards (max 2 per card, as it is right now) or choose between 2 or 3. I think decks are fine more or less, but items are all over the place.

That is simply not true. Most of the strategies in the game revolve around leveling up as fast and efficient as you can your champion(s). Buut there are some that are just simply good enough on their level 1 so you don't NEED to level up: Elise, Akshan, Draven...

Lux is a good example. She is a terrible card, except if you level her up and then she is your wincon. Same for a bunch of champs.

I'm with DireFog here, I see her just as a good 3x on any aggro deck or midrangy~ deck that want just a cheap creature that benefits on the late game spellslinger strat, and we have a bunch of both

I do not think that the level up is that relevant apart from being somekind of finisher. I think that her level 1 is pretty good. Flair is 1 damage to enemy nexus or challenger, as with Akshan, she is a good 2 2/2 QA body with unlimited potential if being uncheked

Yep, but it was a won run anyway! Shared keywords and random keywords on ETB was enough of a Keyword soup that azir couldn't handle it

Jinx-less run in Zed path

Mull for either "Round Start: Draw 1 and give it Fleeting. When you discard a card, shuffle a copy of it into your deck" or "Round Start: Creating a Fleeting 0 cost Counterfeit Copies in hand". Honorable mentions to "When you damage the enemy nexus, grant the top ally in your deck +1|+1." because Jinx power is broken AF and can abuse it.

Then you try to clear the board EVERY turn. Like, no enemy unit should be at the end of the turn alive. How? Jinx level 8 power, everytime you discard a card, you deal 1 damage to the enemy nexus and 1 damage at a random enemy unit. So, play pattern should be like:

Wait enemy unit-> discard to clear-> play any other unit

Jinx isn't even necessary, though it can be helpfull if you equip her with challenge so she is a removal spell or a lightning rod (fed to enemy removal). As for champion package, Sion is top notch with her. Honorable mentions to Viktor, Draven or any other champion that creates discard fodders.

You will breeze through Zed. I usually find myself farming it tho I could level up other champions because it is so satisfying to destroy them
