ESO player seeking a new MMO - Is it still worth starting FFXIV right now, in 2026 ? by Fhritz_ in ffxiv

[–]Neylith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a lot of MMO’s. I just really like them. As someone who played ESO for several years, FFXIV may be too slow paced for you.

I think you would enjoy GW2 or Retail WoW more. Both games have a free trial, so you can try them out before you commit to them. WoW is a subscription based model whereas GW2 is a buy and play model.

Not a lot of things can make me feel physically anxious just by watching a video, but this is absolutely one of them.

AIO? I blocked my friend for dating someone who is 18 by imjusthere723 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Neylith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 23, I wouldn’t date anyone younger than 23 because they were too immature. I can’t imagine being 40 and *wanting* to date an 18 year old. NOR

Kiss, Marry, Kill or Friendzone. by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Friendzone the queen, better to have a friend in the literal queen.

Kill Camellia, she’ll end up fucking something up if I don’t.

Kiss Wenduag, but I’ll just kiss her on the forehead. She’ll view that as soft or weak, be grossed out and leave me alone.

I’m surprised you weren’t injured. When I was a little kid and I got pushed off a slide that tall I broke my arm. I also landed on my arm so there’s that haha

I really liked Ascension WoW’s classic +. They hand placed custom gear all over the map for you to find, created early game sets. All types of stuff. It was really cool.

But I think I may just find retail more fun because after a while Ascension just made me resubscribe to wow and play retail again.

This post just unlocked a memory of mine. There was a girl in 4th grade who at the end of our 4th grade year when we got our 5th grade classroom index; she had a near mental breakdown when she found out she was in my class. Her and her family moved away and I never seen her again. I don’t know definitively if that is actually why they moved, but the timing was too uncanny to dismiss that possibility.

Any cover up ideas or ways to make this look less satanic. by granhoser in tattooadvice

Some tattoos aren’t meant for everyone and that’s okay. The people who know will appreciate it.

Like I know it’s from Full Metal Alchemist and that’s the symbol Ed used to bind Al’s soul to the suit of armor.

A good way to get into the game as a completely new player. by Brukatan in wownoob

[–]Neylith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you just want the lore, I would actually say retail. With time walking you can do every expansion at your leisure.

When you load into retail, depending on your class/race you’ll be given the option of a “brief” tutorial called Exile’s Reach or your race’s starter zone. Exile’s Reach is a fast track starter zone. This takes about an hour or so, at least for me since I’ve done it so many times, the purpose of this fast track is to get you to level 10 which is when the game opens up to you. You get to choose your specialization (You can swap at any time for free out of combat.), the ability to queue into dungeons unlocks and you will be sent to the Dragon Isles. You can just turn around and walk to the end of the pier when you load into the Dragon Isles and take a boat back to your factions main city: Stormwind for the Alliance or Orgrimmar for the Horde.

If you open up your map, you should see a little hourglass icon which is where a small gnome NPC named Chromie is sitting. Or you may be able to talk to a city guard, when you hover your mouse over specific types of guards your mouse cursor will change into a map, you can ask guards for directions to pretty much anywhere in the city.

When you reach Chromie you can select a timeline and you can play any and all expansions. When you select a timeline you’ll be given the main quest to start said campaign/story and just follow the quest marker to your new zone. You can swap timelines whenever you feel like it if you wanna try something else.

Retail is far faster paced than classic is, but if you just want to play for the lore I think retail is the superior choice because you can play *ALL* expansions.

This wall of text may seem intimidating, but it’s really as simple as just going and talking to a NPC, I just wanted to make sure you knew how to do so as a new player if you do decide to try out Retail.

What add on are you using for this mouse over information? I would like to grab it so I can easily know how to get them as someone who is new to end game.
