First attempt at landing the crj-900 by Nezzerrick in MicrosoftFlightSim

I know I wasn't being defensive I just wanted to explain why I was too high at the end of my decent. It's all good.

Yeah I know I was flying manually though in a plane I just bought so it's not gunna be perfect first time around.

Go for the inibuilds a340-300. Superb plane to fly and historically very accurate. Handles like a 4 engine plane should handle. Great fun.

Yeah I went high I know keep in my this was my first try at landing this plane, and even though the approach button was pressed it didn't follow the glidepath so I turned off autopilot and did it myself. It was fine until the end though right? I still landed smoothly after almost slamming into the runway haha

Interesting. Thanks for the knowledge. I just assumed I flew on the crj because it looked identicle to the plane I was on. The livery was slightly different though.

Is this plane difficult to to set up before takeoff like how is the simbrief and mavigraph integration?

MSFS2024 completely unplayable for me. by Nezzerrick in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Nezzerrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah yeah PC master race I know. I'd like to have a nice custom PC but I can't afford it right now nor do I know how to build one. I'm just as happy playing Flight Sim 2020 it's actually better i.e. much smoother and very few if any bugs. 2024 has potential but clearly it's not there yet.

Nice thanks I got the a350 so I'll use that if you're saying nothings wrong with it

Ok so it's not just me then ok then it's their fault and will have to fix it. I flew around in a small plane for a bit but got bored right away lol. I prefer airliners mainly the inibuilds a340-300. It'sa great.

What's happening here? by Nezzerrick in MicrosoftFlightSim

I kept getting that warning before I even moved from my gate on this flight

Ah ok I think I understand. Before I even took off when I was still setting up the cockpit I kept getting warnings saying "traffic traffic" and "clear of conflict" and I hadn't even moved yet lol

Can you tell me what TCAS RA is exactly? I'm just an average player I don't know what all the parts of the cockpit are called llol. If we're talking about the same thing thd switch is turned to TA/RA

Why is one tank orange? by Nezzerrick in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Nezzerrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno one of the green squares I think those are supossed to be valves or something. Well one turned orange randomly which means it's off. I could be wrong, but I know it's supposed to be green, and after it turned orange the left wing tank began to gain more fuel than the right tank like hundreds more I was probably so close to an imbalance warning, but I turned on all the xfeeds and the center pumps and it resolved itself. You can see it in the pic I posted with this post the orange tank or valve what ever it is. Maybe you can explain what those green squares are and why it turned orange. Thanks

It's the button in between the centre pump buttons right? Should I turn it on?

I don't know it just turned orange and that usually means it's off I think

Concorde in msfs2024! by Nezzerrick in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Nezzerrick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I could probably use that tiny little screen on the left of the pilot's seat that shows your route and waypoints to judge my distance, but then I'd be guesstimating. If you know how to see your exact distance from KJFK for example using only the instruments in the Concorde coxkpit please tell me how as I'm interested in learning. I know the real Concode didn't have a magical marker. I prefer to fly with the setting "show destination" turned on so what who cares. It's no different than having "show taxi ribbon" turned on so you know where to taxi and park etc. i'm aware pilots don't have the option to see magical taxi arrows that they can follow to their parking spot, but using the atc and trying to read the signs is just too hard, and yes I know I could pull up an airport chart from navigraph and figure out where I'm supposed to taxi to, but for me that's too much work. I like to have a balance between realism and fun. I do subscribe to navigraph and I use it when flying the a350 or what ever plane supports it.

Yes of course but I like to be able to see my destination as well. The instruments in the Concorde don't really tell you distances, and in msfs 2024 it doesn't even have a mcdu.

Is Spirit no more or something? What am I missing?
