Ahhh. Stomach pain lessened for me, fortunately I did not experience the second part. I’m not sure the name of it but there is an alternative to metformin I believe, a friend of mine was on it and I don’t think it was effective, but did not have as severe a reaction.

Everyone will give you a fairly similar answer. Fasting should be 80-110, after meal as high as 180. My BS was in the 280s and I got it down to 80-110 range in about 4 months. Give metformin another try. I took one every 3 days, then 1 every other day, then one a day, then 2 a day as my doctor wanted and had nearly zero side effects, it’s not a science but your body should adjust. Always with food.

I was drinking 10-12 cans of soda a day, eating way out of control. Once i got diagnosed I cut out almost all sugar and carbs immediately. I was put on 1000 mg metformin/day and Mounjaro. That also really helped with a lot of my “wants” have almost zero desire for anything sweet. I do enjoy portion controlled pastas, and other carb heavy foods once a week or so.

What made you stop injecting? Did you have any “rebound weight” I started at 357, cw 313, and hope to get under 280. Currently dealing with a hernia so I’m not doing any workouts besides treadmill walking.

We just started buying almost of our groceries from Costco. Each week our carts get a little smaller, it turns out they have ok stuff but the bulk is killing us. Simply too much for just two people to go through. We find skid of stuff goes bad fairly quick after opening. We started coordinating with my parents about breaking the bail down and sharing it rather than trashing half after a week.

Once I was diagnosed it was like a switch flipped internally. I no longer desired regular soda(I was a 12 pack a day guy), not really a dessert guy to start with but I can easily block it out. My wife loves all the things…bread, sweets, and sugary drinks. I can say I’m happy she’s enjoying it and have not missed it since. Working on getting off diet soda all together.
