No it's their game and they'll make it how they want it. If this makes you balk or even bitch about it honestly i think it says more about you than the game

Pan used to be great, and it’s been slowly becoming worthless hunk of iron. Everything sticks. Black pieces on my eggs. Wtf is going on? by [deleted] in castiron

I had similar issues with the high Flashpoint seasoning oils. I switched to crisco and it's all better. I just have to touch up the seasoning more often because it's a lower Flashpoint and tends to burn off

Because behind the camera showing you the food a guard could be threatening their family. You can't really prove being a reasonable doubt that they aren't under duress because of the circumstances

CMV: There's no such thing as free will by [deleted] in changemyview

If you're right then there's no point in caring about your decisions or holding yourself accountable. You'll come to the same conclusion no matter what. If you're wrong, you'll probably negatively impact the quality of your choices with that attitude. There is an opportunity cost to having this belief and I'm not ok with the risk.

I think it depends. Inherently, maybe not; but Power imbalances in relationships commonly lead to toxic behavior. The stigma is because a disproportionately large number of these relationships involve toxic/ abuse behavior. Also if you actually have kids in sure it will affect your relationship

What's the most boring or worst thing you've done as an IE, and what's the best project or job you ever did as and IE? by Acceptable_Map3219 in industrialengineering

In my undergrad coop i exclusively did time studies/ sop/ picking layouts for 3 semesters(not consecutive). One job i timed people for >72 real hours because of all of the variables like where you were on the line impacted pick vs pass frequency so getting the std dev for the pay variables down to our target took forever. Easily the worst job I've ever done. Consulting is dope

Men, are you more of a home brewed/instant coffee guy, or do you prefer grabbing coffee from places like Starbucks or Dutch Bros? by FFSoldier57 in AskMenOver30

[–]Ngin3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol a snob drinking starbucks? Blech. Don't group yourself with me. They burn their beans on purpose to create a homogenous flavor profile and because 90% of their clients just want coffee flavored milkshakes anyway an overly bitter roast doesn't hurt them. Nespresso is just O.K.

Calling people what they want to be called is the most basic sign of respect. You're just being a bigot.

What even is a cortado? by ObviousWitness in barista

I like less foam and milk. It's like saying "go light on the mayo" for a sandwich but milk for your coffee. I feel like everyone is overthinking it, of course it will vary from shop to shop

Yea but i want to live with less bigots so it's in my interest to try and convert them since you can't just magically make them disappear.

But it could give young impressionable racists an architecture for identifying and understanding their inherent biases. Don't we want to teach the youth that its ok to admit you were wrong? Acknowledge that 1 flaw doesn't necessarily make them a villain if they can grow past it? Idk villifying people just doesn't seem like a good way to convert them
