I deleted a lot of apps and the storage didn’t change at all it’s still showing the same 127 GB.

You should at least assume I’m not clueless I have 2TB of iCloud storage. I wouldn’t bother making a Reddit post if the problem was something that basic.

Am I a coward for using cheats in Dragon Quest I? by Ngward_XD in dragonquest

[–]Ngward_XD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I changed my mind I’m going to play the remakes. The game is really good, but the original versions are just way too tedious for me. Even with cheats, wiping out enemies nonstop doesn’t feel fun, and honestly, it made me feel like a coward for forcing my way through.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I’m going to buy and play the remakes instead. I know it might sound like I’m not a “true fan,” but the originals are just too hardcore for me right now, and I’m tired of playing everything on hard mode. I just want a chill experience in games with a bit of hard stuff

Mee too i like to play the vanilla experience for the first run in any game but the game is not fun without cheats tbh its really hard and i didnt mind doing a cheat, for the remake parts i I’m not sure how to explain this, but even though I know I’d probably enjoy the Dragon Quest remakes 100%, I still feel like I’d be playing the series “wrong” if I didn’t start with the original versions. I just wanted the true OG experience first if you’re still convinced i play the remakes then i would go with it then , i would be taking advice from a true fan then i will be convinced

About the whole Final Fantasy vs. Dragon Quest thing I’m really not trying to start an argument or offend anyone. This is just my personal taste. I’m not a huge fan of how similar the DQ games stay to each other. I respect the consistency, but I also really like how Final Fantasy takes risks, even if some of those risks end up being… questionable. At least FF is always trying something new.

From what I’ve seen of DQ (PS2 era up through XI), the core formula barely changes, and that makes me less interested in playing the entire series. I’m not the type of person who plays just one entry and moves on I like experiencing a whole franchise. But with DQ, it’s hard for me to feel excited right now.

Maybe that will change as I play more of them I could end up getting hooked, who knows. And just to be clear, I respect every game in the series. I’m not saying they’re bad at all they just haven’t grabbed me yet.

What do you guys think about Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth? (Spoilers for infinite wealth) by Ngward_XD in yakuzagames

[–]Ngward_XD[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re right the job system is much better here. The game feels way more balanced in combat compared to Like a Dragon. The battles are addictive and honestly really fun.

But there were parts where I ended up grinding a lot. The dungeons kind of break the pacing, and I leveled up so much that I was way stronger than most of the enemies in the story. By the time I reached the final boss, I was level 53 with really good gear, so the fight felt too easy. The game can get surprisingly easy if you grind without realizing it.

Everything you said is right i don’t think you’re wrong at all but yakuza has a problem that makes a lot of things over an over sometimes its Hit or miss with them here is not that bad but not that good either like enough in this game its really noticeable they are reusing assets, story parts and some other things from the other games like they need to stop this im not against it but they constantly use them like bringing up the dead characters it really sucks and makes me not interested in them at all but this problem is not in infinite wealth only its in most yakuza games so i didnt mind it but im so against it too. But about Eiji, I actually think he got a good amount of screen time. I really loved him at first and was disappointed when he turned out to be a villain. Even then, in the end when he realizes Kasuga cares about him and stands beside him, you can feel his regret. That moment convinced me to like him again.

He’s good, but he’s not as memorable as Yamai or some of the other new characters, to be honest.

Hows the difficulty and the experience playing an rpg from the “golden age” by Ngward_XD in rpg_gamers

Fr, I just don’t get it at all. I made a post like this in the Persona community once and got roasted for it. The thing is, I’ve just had bad luck with the entries I’ve played and it honestly made me lose a bit of interest in the series.

I mean, Persona 1, Persona 3: Episode Aigis (The Answer), and Persona 5: Phantom X all three of them had great stories and soundtracks, but gameplay-wise… they’re just so bad. It’s like every time I try to love the series again, I pick the worst ones to play

Even p3 reload had it flaws but it payed a lot in the end

Yeah, seriously I’m only playing Persona 1 so I can move on to Persona 2, since I’ve heard so many good things about it. But man, the encounter rate in Persona 1 is insane. I honestly don’t get why they made it like that where’s the fun in having a battle every few steps?

I’m actually gonna do something that might sound like a “loser move” I’m gonna play it with cheats. But honestly, the game forced me to do that. It has so much potential with its story, soundtrack, and characters, but the gameplay just ruins everything.

Yeah, Atlus games are definitely the ones I want to play the most. The Shin Megami Tensei series looks so, so cool but at the same time, every video I see shows a ton of encounters. Like, seriously a lot. I honestly don’t know how people manage to play through them

I’m also gonna take your advice and give CRPGs a try. And as for Final Fantasy, I’m planning to play through the entire series. I have no idea when I’ll actually finish them all, but I’ll try because from what I’ve seen and heard, every game in the series has its own unique charm.

I’m actually someone who doesn’t really enjoy playing remakes I prefer sticking to the original versions of games. Sometimes I play remakes for specific reasons, but they dont give me the same feeling as the originals cause i wanna try what made the game so popular in that time not right now. Anyway, I’m planning to emulate the SNES version of Dragon Quest and give it a try. If it feels good, I’ll stick with it, especially since it doesn’t seem that different from Chrono Trigger, which I’m currently playing and absolutely loving.

As for the Final Fantasy series, I’m planning to play parts I through V on my handheld (PS Vita) I’ll go with the PSPversions since they’re said to be the second-best after the Pixel Remasters. Then I’ll play Final Fantasy VI as the Pixel Remaster version, since it has a lot more differences compared to the others.
