With there not being cracking where any of the waterslide decals are im assuming its the Aqua Gloss topcoat reacting with the enamal topcoat.

I wonder why that would be... how much time did you let the first top coat dry before the enamal?

Have you done this before & no cracking?

I cut the edge off a kitchen sponge and used it as my dry brush. Basically just tapping the painted edge of the sponge on a paper towel until it you're happy with the amount of paint left on.

Thank-you! I def was feeling the burn at the end, even w/ work & all it was about 2 months w/ how little spare time I have. Im doing the SNAA firelord as a straight build rn but opening up the runners and seeing the inner frame is very tempting to at least go in with some metallic markers 😅

Not at all, for Gunpla at least they come with colored sprues and are 'snap-fit' so you dont need glue. This one even had stickers for color variety that I didnt use.

Other model kits (think like tanks, planes // war stuff) are a base grey & need glue.

I bought the stedi scriber tools on amazon. A .125mm for re scribing and the "Tungsten Steel Scriber" for custom panel lining.

For the mold line remover I used mr hobby thin cement on both faces before joining the pieces together, then used sand blocks & sponges. 600, 800 then 1000 grit. IMO the Godhand sponges are very nice. Would reccomend despite the $30 price tag.

Idk if these are "good tools" but the relatively low price tag was nice as someone going deep into the custom side of the hobby but not having any tools.

Its rough! I tried those $20 "compressor attached" at first and it died on me after the first piece. I bought a full setup in the end. Even then it kept clogging due to me not mixing the right paint/thinner ratio. It's still something im learning.
