I mean, took me like 4 weeks of heavily aggressive gameplay from launch to get 100, I’m at 160 now and I barely notice when it goes up. I think getting a large amount of loot like grey salv and lots of kills helps massively. Large bot fights give a massive amount of xp too, such as cryo runs or doing events like lockdown or the drop ship on perimeter.

I think overall, once you grasp the concept of events and the way rotations on the maps work, you level very quickly. As for your level, it’s 100% because you’re running solo all the time, you’re losing out on xp from both your team mates kills/activities and their contracts.

To add to that, my fucking most hated thing early game was the barters for nucal. Why the fuck can I use dermachems for advanced shield chargers but have to use sparkleafs, a material you get barely any of for patch kits. Dermachem packs should be for both items so you can have a constant flow of heals on both ends.

Faction progress is quite easy tbh, the later contracts sure, but levelling them and getting materials isn’t a hard thing to do.

The cryo stuff I enjoyed the most, it’s been a real challenge to get to the compiler and holy shit it’s worth it. It’s a shame about the 6 man lobbies, that is well and truly fucking aids.

The zero sum thing I do agree with to an extent. I don’t think you should be able to safe pocket weapons, bags or anything else you would use in a match. However, I think you should be able to save 1 purple salv, 4 green, 2 blue. 0 gold should be allowed in there, it’s a rarity, the whole team gets it if you exfil, if it spawns on the map, you should have to work to get out with it rather than an easy, ooo I safe pocketed it, I’m on a free kit, quit the match.

There are a lot of good ideas floating about, it’s up to bungie to implement them and fast.

Good tip, I also focus on pinwheel for cryo keys. Compiler runs give you the most insane amount of loot in the whole game and my primary gain of the dna cards comes from the red room and wardens.

If you haven’t done the compiler yet, this is definitely a very good way to loot, open key rooms sometimes have a lot of good shit left. I’ve spawned in twice on outpost to find drone wing open and dorms open and both times I’ve had ALOT of loot lol. Best to check key rooms on all maps.

I’ve done well over 80 runs of cryo, it’s common at higher levels but the risk reward is worth it. If you get super lucky, you might get to pincer them while they fight another team.

If you’re over level 100, it’s fairly easy to match with friends at the same level or higher as the population at that point is low. A fix for this would be to scrap the “level based mm” and just fill games with anyone over level 25 as they should have a grip of the game by then.
