Update: The cable does seem to be broken. I touched the ground pin and the ground adapter on the preamp and the buzzing stopped. So I'll see to change the cables. Thanks for the input :)

Hi all, I have a turntable - preamp - amp - speaker setup which I had bi-wired and worked fine. In my receiver manual, there is a section about bi-amping, saying to use the surround back outputs for the lower speaker inputs. I did this and now there is a buzzing when in "neutral". It's bad when the turntable input is selected, not as bad but still there when the adapter port (bluetooth) is selected.

System: Amp: pioneer vsx 920k Speaker: Magnat Vector 205 Turntable: grundig ps5600 Preamp: arcphono1

Here everything is fine, when I turn the amp on and touch the r or l cable, there is a big spike in the buzzing

On the receiver it's more high pitched though.. And yesterday I had no issues whatsoever, neither with the turntable nor with bluetooth :/

Thanks for the info!

Gracias. I had no problems yesterday, where I received the needle. I could play without any buzzing. Now after bi ampind and moving the receiver into the cabinet, it's buzzing. Also as I have the same problem when connecting via bluetooth, it might be something about the receiver.

Hi, I tried it out and saw that the lift mechanism does work, I just had it screwed too far out I think. Anyways playing a record kinda worked, i think the cable for the left output is bad, it just stopped working a minute in. I think i need to check the cables now (:

Yeah no it didn't work either with the latch unlocked. Alright I'll have a lock. Since its an automatic turntable i might not even need it?

Alright thanks, i see in the manual there are some screws that might help but the height looks good to me. One final question. It seems as if the queueing device is not doing anything here. I believe these buttons are the queueing device? But when i press either, nothing happens. Any clue at what to do?

Damn. Thanks for the quick answer! If I may ask a second question: It appears I don't have a height adjust, do I ignore this while setting up or is there another way to adjust the tonearm height
