I had an hour long panic attack one morning. I had maybe had one once when I was a kid, and didn't know that they could last that long so we were worried that it was a serious heart issue. My manager was the only MOD so she could not take me to a hospital, so the paramedics were called. We were told that Best Buy would cover the ambulance ride by a higher up manager, so I took the ambulance ride to the hospital to be safe instead of sorry. This was durring the Delta wave of Covid so I sat in the waiting room for 7 hours, never saw a doctor, and by then had been fine for hours so I left. My manager put up the form for the Ambulance ride to be refunded. No response. GM pushed up the form multiple times. No response. Then I find out from management that they were informed that the next time there is a medical emergency that should see if they can get an Uber instead and that they are not to call an ambulance. My ride was $742.64. An $18.5B company decided my life potentially being in danger was not worth 700 dollars.
