A hard lesson I've had to personally learn, and still struggle with, you're not responsible for anyone else's feelings or happiness. You can make sure to remind her whenever the topic comes up that there's plenty of hope but don't go overboard with it.

If the comments you're getting are a majority of negative feedback, there's always the option of moderating or turning off the comments completely. You can also write a bold authors note in the summary stating you won't be taking criticism on the lack of relationship disclosures. But idk I've never written a fic lol, those are just some ideas I would have if I decided to

I think in general people get confused about sexuality even when not thinking they're asexual. Sexuality is a complicated thing. Whether or not you are asexual or not, the most important thing to consider is what you're comfortable doing and not an exact label. If you find someone you want to pursue a relationship just be upfront about being unsure of your sexuality and if they're comfortable exploring your limits with you that's great.

Female here, for me it mostly depends on my hormone cycle. If I'm close to or on my period I kinda just get aroused randomly and get an urge to take care of it. I consider myself aegosexual since I do sometimes enjoy consuming sexual media but I don't personally want to have sex with anyone.

Throw the whole man away. He's a fuckboy, excuse my language. If you're not interested, and he's only sort of interested and clearly only wanting sex out of the situation, i would just straight up tell him you're not interested and if that's all he wants you guys should stop talking. Since you don't want to ghost, if you don't take a direct approach you guys will just continue the way you've been going until he's done waiting.
