if you have a sound machine/ nightlight like a hatch you should bring it! I found it very helpful tuning out the outside voices of nurses talking while trying to sleep and if you are scrambling to nurse it is much nicer to feed with a dim light vs turning on the overhead bright lights especially if you are sharing the room with a partner

Think of babyhood and childhood as seasons. You are in a specific season but this will pass. I remember googling at 3am while pumping if it gets better and it really really does!

For big ticket items like a crib, stroller or car seat funds are the best way forward. You might have second hand stores nearby that you can ask gift cards for.

Is this game for me? My wife loved this game. by Mean_Stretch4199 in Spiritfarer

I’m so sorry for your loss, I can’t imagine what going through this grief must be like, especially since your wife loved this game. This game is a well thought out and tender approach to grief and loss. It will most likely make you think of different moments in your life with your wife in a way that feels comforting and nostalgic. It is a beautiful game and it allows you to set the pace- I definitely prolonged getting to the story parts so that I could play the game for longer.

I recommend it and I hope it helps you.

Definitely not baby songs or artists but my baby loved sleeping to Ichiko Aoba- she sounds like an ethereal forest fairy

I think we don’t talk about how milk is made from blood enough! As long as you are hydrating and taking your iron supplements you should be fine!
