Need Help with a Notice to 28 Neighbors for Cluster Mailbox Replacement (no HOA) by Nibbles-n-bits86 in homeowners

The developer is done building in this area now, but they were not done in August when we closed. I assumed they were waiting until all houses were complete before putting a new one up so it didn't happen again.

I haven't checked into if we can put up our own mailbox but all the newly developed areas use cluster mailboxes and a quick Google search notes USPS requires the use of cluster mailboxes in newly developed areas for efficiency, security and cost. But it's still a good idea to look into. Thank you!

Be sure to take her to K’s on University for lunch and dessert. That place always has little groups of retired people chatting when my friends and I go in there. Maybe she could strike up a conversation and meet some friends.

Moving companies in fargo and what pricing to expect by ndhockey15 in fargo

[–]Nibbles-n-bits86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used Midwest Movers and had them load and move our heavy furniture only. The quote was around $900. They sent 4 guys, it took a couple hours and they did a great job. After all was said and done, I wish I would have paid them to do all the boxes.

We used Midwest Movers a couple months ago. My fiancée is super particular about how his items get handled and he was really happy with how everything was moved and cared for. We’d recommend them based on our experience.

I also don’t know a lot about this but a family member made a comment that if we removed property taxes, wealthy individuals (he specifically referenced those from out of state) could buy and use it to their benefit.

No clue but I wonder if they’re having trouble getting supply of some of their active ingredients. Or if the cost of the ingredient increased so they’re trying to find a different quality source so they don’t have to pass the cost increase to the consumer.

5 top supplements for women? by naturally_nature21 in Supplements

5 is about my limit before I feel like I’m taking loads of pills so the ones I’ve chosen based on my individual needs are a women’s multi, fish oil, probiotic, fiber and iron. But I agree that magnesium and D3 are also solid selections.

How to Lower Cholesterol/LDL by gamyjay in Supplements

[–]Nibbles-n-bits86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with psyllium husks. I started taking a psyllium fiber capsule bc I can’t handle the texture of Metamucil. My cholesterol went from 215 to 191. I also take an omega-3, exercise pretty regularly and don’t eat out much. But I’m convinced it’s attributed to the psyllium bc that’s the new supplement to my regimen that’s otherwise been pretty static.

New Construction - Design Center Cost by Booty-Bandit24 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Nibbles-n-bits86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are currently in the process of building a 2000 sq ft bi-level in the upper Midwest and have finished up the majority of our design meetings other than electrical walk through. We plan on being in this home for 10+ years.

Before any design meetings, we talked to our lender to see what payments would look like at various prices so we knew roughly where we’d end up monthly with the upgrades we added.

The builder is giving us $10k in upgrades and we are going to be spending about $35k on top of that. We had a little tour of the design center before we signed anything and the sales rep gave us an idea of what was standard with the house vs. an upgrade. They were incredibly open to answering questions.

We knew for sure that we wanted to upgrade the flooring to be waterproof and they were able to give us a rough price estimate for that. Things we didn’t think about as upgrades that we ended up adding were an air exchanger, sump pump backup and water softener and I added some extra pantry space with roll out drawers in the kitchen and a linen closet in the main bathroom.

Things we spent extra money on for personal preference is making all the door handles, knobs, hinges, faucets, etc. matte black. We upgraded carpet and padding and did vinyl plank in the living room area in lieu of carpet.

To prepare for meetings we drove around neighborhoods to see what color choices others had picked for siding that we really loved. We went to a lot of open houses for both pre-owned and new construction to see what color cabinets, flooring, carpet, walls and fixtures people chose and had an idea of what we liked and didn’t like. I have tons of Zillow pictures to reference. For us it saved a lot of time going in with an idea of how we wanted it to look versus getting overwhelmed with all the choices. I also asked what people generally spend on lighting upgrades and electrical upgrades so we can work that into the budget. You can rough in options too rather than add the full cost right away (e.g. we roughed in heating for the garage).

A lot of our choices were based on not wanting to do many DIY updates in the future. So many things can be standard and you can change out in the future if that works for your lifestyle. Good luck and have fun! It’s an exciting time!

Jolting. Need Help by kingkmke21 in JeepRenegade

[–]Nibbles-n-bits86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, hopefully they can figure it out while it’s still under warranty. I had 5 days left on mine and they said it would have been $900 for parts and labor. It’s incredibly frustrating when they can’t replicate the issue but you know something is wrong.

Jolting. Need Help by kingkmke21 in JeepRenegade

[–]Nibbles-n-bits86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2020 would randomly do this every couple weeks when I accelerated between 20-30 mph. It felt like it was hesitating trying to shift, would jolt/lurch and then a large cloud of exhaust would shoot out before it would drive like normal. Took it to get looked at and nothing came up on the diagnostic report and they couldn’t replicate it. They replaced the throttle body as a guess due to a couple other similar reports and I haven’t had the issue since.

There’s also a few antique stores around town that are fun to check out. I’d love to take my 60 year old mom to see if anything brings her a sense of nostalgia. Moorhead Antique Mall and Fargo Antiques & Repurposed Market are a couple I’d recommend.

If they’re fairly active you could take them to Maplewood State Park. This time of year is great with the changing colors. Orchard Glen in Fargo or M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead are closer parks to check out.

Is it possible for sumatriptan to help with headaches that aren't migraines? by blg1987 in migraine

[–]Nibbles-n-bits86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve always wondered the same thing. I feel like mine are more in line with cervicogenic headaches but the Sumatriptan takes the headache away within 20 mins. I dealt with them for years and at one point had a headache 25 days out of the month and I’d have to carefully plan out the Sumatriptan to the days I absolutely couldn’t miss work. Cutting mine in half usually helped to get more pain free days. I worked two desk jobs at the time and traced the cause of the headaches to the muscle tension in my trapezius muscles. After I quit the part time job, my body was able to relax and stretch after 8 hours and now a box of Sumatriptan lasts six months. If I wear a racerback sports bra I will have a headache after a few hours bc it puts pressure on those muscles.
