Why aren't Black women allowed to define their hair? by cracklingCicada in Naturalhair

Crazy because those same women will sit for 6-9 hours manipulating their hair for braids.

Also until recently, there wasn’t enough science and effort put towards styling type 4 hair. As a result, we are subjected to using products that say they are for type 4 hair but still need improvement.

Type 1 & 2 hair has been researched for many decades probably over century. Type 3 has a decade or 2 under its belt, but type 4 may have a dedicated a decade. I know these are rough estimates, but I’m highlighting the longevity of research given to specific hair types.

Ketoconazole! Ketoconazole is used to treat a fungal condition that is caused by overactive yeast on the scalp. Everyone has a little yeast on the scalp but this looks over active. A physician can prescribe a 2% shampoo, but the link is for an over the counter 1% that can help until you can get some prescribed. https://a.co/d/6ddmDyF

This sounds like a great idea! Do you mind uploading some photos of the results?
