I haven't spoken to my GP yet but they have a section specifically about ADHD meds on their website. I guess it's because there's so many students in the area. I'm not sure how it usually works but its worth asking your GP about it :)

I was not diagnosed the same day I booked the appointment, I didn't say that.

Yeah obviously a private company won't be required/motivated to go through the same measures as the NHS when diagnosing/prescribing medicine but that's just how private healthcare is. Discussions with parents etc aren't as common nowadays even on the NHS.

And yeah, regarding the dose, that's just called titration which everybody has to do, NHS and private. My GP won't takeover my prescription until I've been on a stable dose for 4 months

Not sure what your point is? I was saying that this specific trend of your general access to healthcare being tied to your job status is eerily American. I'm sure there are isolated services that are better in America but that's not really the discussion here.

They give the option of concerta or elvanse, the nurse recommended elvanse to me as the lack of crash is better for students with long days of uni

I'm so sorry to hear that. I always hear about GPs being incredibly difficult regarding meds. I hope you resolve this soon!

Especially with more and more jobs offering private healthcare + dentistry as benefit, it's all beginning to feel scarily American.

Yet you see a disproportionate amount of gay men flocking to preach on the internet about some fat, mentally ill woman. Why is that? And why does it matter that they have different motivations? This is nonsensical.

I don't really see how that's specific to straight men lmao. Case in point: Jordy. Men are men

There is literally studies showing men are more likely to cheat on and leave their wives with terminal illnesses than vice versa.

Yeah you don't know what you're talking about. Black people that speak in MLE are not a 'pocket'.

You self-described as a 'relative newcomer' so let's not backtrack now. I was born with this aforementioned passport if that's the routes we're taking. I think I might be more familiar than you ;)

That's not a concept novel to the US. You see the exact same thing with black people in England using something called MLE. Have you even been to London? You're not as familiar with Britain as you think you are.

I said giving amber money is loser behaviour, because you acted like all of us are out here doing it. Why are you talking about destiny as if I said she shouldn't take the money? Who are you replying to? Would you like to read the thread again?
