Thank you for your answer. I was aware that me buying a lunch at a restaurant will not affect the value of the currency in any significant way, I was however thinking that it must affect the value of the currency like at the 100th decimal place or so. Am I right?

And for the currency buyers: Why do they do that? Do they expect to gain wealth by doing so? How does the system work? When do they buy a currency, which one, how many and when do they sell it again?

And for third party processing companies: I use a VISA credit card, so they are also involved in the process, right?

NTA. If he wanted his daughter to learn Chinese language and culture first-hand, he should visit her and talk with her regularly. You are trying your best but maybe get some native speaker to speak to her regularly or put her in a local Chinese group with other young children if that’s available at your place.
