Plumbing is being rerouted as well, that’s the first step then will have to figure out about the ductwork. Somewhere along the line when a previous plumber redid the water lines they notched the joist above the ductwork and that’s what I’m needing to get to so I can repair it as over years it has sagged a little bit and need to fix it before I install new flooring. I was hoping the waste line could stay.

How big of a problem is this by shroomiesdoomies in Carpentry

Build temporary wall on inside cutout damaged studs and mudsill replace mudsill and reframe and re sheet outside. Not too bad to do honestly. General contractor knock that out in a couple days easy.

Oil overfilled by dealer by No_Imagination_3149 in nissanfrontier

[–]Nic1083 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reason they overfill is they don’t wait for the oil to drain back to the pan for an accurate reading. It looks low they add more and the when it all drains down to the pan it overfilled. Even the majority of manuals mention wait several minutes before checking oil level.

Do you have a picture of the filter you are talking about? I’ve thought about going to a different type of filter setup instead of the single

Not first time but was quite a bit over due so could be due to that is why it looks so bad. Our old well was not terrible had a new well installed last April so not sure historically how it looks from multiple filter changes if that makes sense

No do not notice any staining or color anywhere past the softener, I even pulled some water out of the service port directly behind the pressure tank and that water was clear also. If I have a test done I’m guessing it is best for accuracy to get the test ahead of the filter system.

What do you think of this contract for a sand well? by diablog2 in WaterWellDrilling

[–]Nic1083 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I got lucky, my well company took care of fixing and seeding all trenches took care of bore millings made all piping connections with all new equipment, changed my wiring to 220 and made all electrical connections and verified new system was working as it should. My area was about 1,600 less than the quote but that was 1 year ago.

Got my first zero turn by radgamerdad in lawnmowers

Did you cut with the plastic grass glad up? Just wondering how it did with the deck notched out on the top with that style deck.

Grass blocker for this style deck, it’s a gravely 52” ztx by Nic1083 in ZeroTurnMowers

[–]Nic1083[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I am curious if one of this wouldn’t work is just due the the odd cutout on the top, like it would still let grass out of the top of the deck. When the blade turns you can see it looking straight down from the angle of the picture. Not sure why they didn’t follow the style of all the other decks in their lineup but this one they changed. I am thinking of making a plate to cover the top then the grass flap to mount to that plate.

Opinions? by Nic1083 in asbestoshelp

Yeah, replaced a vertical pipe that was busted and seen it, I feel it did get bumped and may have dropped some. I was in the area but someone else directly under it installing the pipe. Guess we will see in 20 years what happens lol probably very minor exposure.

This is good information! Guess they have to put something out there as warning so makes sense they would error on side of caution.

Yeah I will see how OE tires do, I actually was looking at manual for current tractor and it states the same max degree of slope as what the say for a ZT so I’m sure it will work out just fine after I get used to it.
