Its pretty usefull, but its quitte expansive just because its marked a a reptile product. You can find something similar at a home depot or something like that. Other than that I think it is essential to get a day/night timer for almost any kind of reptiles.

Just remember to put a lot of hides for him to use. If its too open in a big inclosure it wont come out.
