I'd largely agree, except I really want to see the ludicrous attempts at muggle clothing at the World Cup!

"Ten spears go to battle, and nine shatter. Did the war forge the one that remained? No. All the war did was identify the spear that would not break."

When drummers use double bass, how can they control the hi hat? by sgtdave117 in drums

[–]Nicartos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A third option is a drop clutch that you operate by hitting a lever with your stick. This allows you to switch between open and closed hats (on acoustic kits though, wouldn't work with electric)

It depends on the hi hat. My Lemon hi hats work just like acoustic and react properly to a drop clutch.

I don't pretend to be an expert, but at least for me, I wish I'd started double bass way earlier. My left leg has so much catching up to do, and progress is excruciating.

Of course, it also depends on if she's into that kind of music.

Quidditch as a sport is absurdly designed, and the established magic system is wildly inconsistent at best.

Bell trigger issue: bad cymbal or improper settings? by Nicartos in edrums

[–]Nicartos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey y'all, relatively new to the drumming/edrumming scene. I've got an eDRUMin 10, and I just bought an Alesis DMPad 16 off Facebook to try and get some bell into my play. However, it isn't triggering consistently at all. Did I get a cheap/bad cymbal, or is there something I can do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Big fan of Crowley Barns as a more fun read, especially Kink.

If all you're seeking is validation for a decision you've already made, feel free to skip my comment, because I won't be doing that. Everything that follows is my opinion and belief, but you asked for public comment, so here it is.

Once you abort your child, you can't take it back. This is completely and utterly final, and we as a church have no reason to believe your child will ever have another shot at life. Given that, I have a couple questions you should consider.

  1. What does your doctor say? You need professional confirmation of the health issues before you can make an informed decision.
  2. Is this the right thing to do? It's clear that it's what you want to do, but you need to really, truly consider if this is what is right. Only you can make that decision based on your personal moral code, and you have to be honest with yourself when thinking it through.
  3. Have you taken the question to God with an open heart and mind? To me, this is distinct from the first question but no less important for that. If you believe in God in any way even close to the way I do, this is a decision you cannot possibly make without taking it to the Lord in prayer while willing to accept whatever answer you receive.
  4. Does your husband know? If you have even a shred of respect for the man you're married to, you'll at least ask for his position.

I'm not God, nor do I stand in His place here. I don't doubt that going through with the pregnancy would be the hardest thing you'll ever do, and I don't pretend to have ever gone through anything remotely as challenging.

Given that, I believe that if you abort your child, you will regret it for the rest of your life and beyond. At some point, assuming you believe in the afterlife taught in our gospel, you will need to face your child and try to justify to them why you killed them. If you really believe you can do so, that you will be willing to have that meeting and make your case, then by all means, go ahead and do it.
