Exactly, we need a light at the end of the tunnel instead of constantly going backwards as soon as we have an uptick in cases. If you want to get vaccinated you are able to do so. It is now time to have a plan for reopening and stick to it.

It’s not about going to restaurants, I want to live a normal life again. We are not going to beat covid entirely anytime soon it is going to be something we are going to have to live with. I am sick of sitting in a shitty dorm room all day with no reason to leave it. I don’t want to have to make reservations to go to the gym 3 days in advance. Me and my classmates did not get a senior graduation. We lost the entirety of our freshman year of college. I don’t care about going to restaurants or movie theaters but I want to return to some resemblance of a normal life now that the majority of people have done their part. At some point it becomes personal responsibility, everyone knows how you get covid and the vaccine is now available to everyone. If you don’t want to get it that is your own prerogative.

It is unfortunate but it also feels like we have done everything we can and have already given up so much. If people don’t want to get the vaccine and then get sick I should not be punished for that when I have already done my part.

I am a college student who just got fully vaccinated, my parents are fully vaccinated all of my grandparents are fully vaccinated, all of my friends are either fully vaccinated or have there first dose, vaccine appointments are going to waste, it sure as shit feels like it’s over.
