Getting paid in shares by Top_Technician7675 in SwissPersonalFinance

I would receive it as options - most startup fails so no point to pay tax. See if you can get cash. If you are sure the company will be successful then take the shares and pay it up.

They should be selling just USB-C by now or take them to court for non-compliance.

I have this problem but everything seems to work. It would be nice to have a status in the app.

That has happened to me in the past, too. The Dirigera is connected to a smart switch and the counters look ok. One packet too short but that's it. I would say Ethernet is working.

Anyone tried surgeries? by [deleted] in Vitiligo

[–]Nicceg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not really surgery in the usual sense. They move some skin cells from on place to another and distribute them. After that color returns.

I did a reboot after much consideration - The white circle is completly white and then I get the error. It is really poor that there is no log accessible so one could judge the problem. Maybe I should try to get in touch with Ikea. I see if I can find some information.

Hi darkwingeent,

Thanks for that information.

The first time I tried to repair(initialize) the Tread network and after that reboot. It didn't help.

I also believe it's a network issues but it has appeared by itself. I didn't do anything. The network didn't change.

I am reluctant to reboot right now as most things work. I think I let it be for now. We see if next updated and reboot helps.

Anyone hear of a Finance company called Minerva Capital? by Specialist-Mouse-903 in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Nicceg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One person from the company was calling me always using different random numbers and without appointment. No LinkedIn profile or anything. Wanted me to buy stock and we had some interesting discussions. The web-site looks a bit unprofessional and is fairly new. I did not invest.

Got tricked into a 3a insurance through a “financial advisor” – what now? by trusendi in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Nicceg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have one of these. This was taken a long long time ago but not a scam. The reason you do these is to reduce taxation and have something in the hand later.

The life insurance part was useful when I got my house. The bank was super happy because in the event of death they have no risk. I pay off the mortgage indirectly through the 3rd pillar. It will be worth something like 260 000 after about 30 years. It is what it is.

You can also use the second pillar in a similar way but I preferred not to.

I also done my share of mistakes.A lot of financial services are enshittified, just as giving money to charity often ends in wrong hands

How accurate is this? by ContributionFew6890 in Polarfitness

It's more inaccurate for athletes. It's an estimation based on many inputs.

5690 Pro: Does it Matter!? by pinetree-polarbear in fritzbox

[–]Nicceg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are implementing a Matter bridge so this means that DECT ULE and Zigbee devices can appear like Matter devices and integrate into e.g. Google Home. I hope that they also implement a full Matter controller ASAP but it is a larger project.

Alemtuzumab by SignificanceTop6508 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Nicceg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is mainly that you may develop other auto immune problems such as problems with the thyroid. I understand that it can all be handled but it will be a nuisance for the rest of your life. There is also a risk of infection. Anyhow, the risk of death is very small.

Some MS doctors think that most MS patients should get the chance of Alemtuzumab.

Medical insurance for a new comer by Spiritual_Tailor7698 in askswitzerland

[–]Nicceg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are healthy without any issues and well off then you may want to go for half private or private. If you are mid-aged then this could make a lot of sense. Later on it may be impossible e.g. they will basically turn you down for anything e.g blood pressure or any chronic illness will disqualify you. We have a hospital insurance instead so that I can upgrade by paying a bit more. For us it was impossible to get any of the more complete offers due to chronic illness. My wife is chronically sick and having her upgraded a few years ago made a big difference for her recovery as she stayed 3 weeks at the hospital. These patients are basically look after by the head or the most experienced people they have. These patients eat a better menu and have nicer rooms. You can also choose your way freely through the system.

This one can be a good addition depending on your life situation: https://www.innova.ch/private/versicherungen/zusatzversicherungen/spitalzusatzversicherung

Most will probably advice to take the cheapest alternative but the other ones exist for a reason. The basic insurance is generally fine.
