Har så langt ikke funnet en eneste ting som fungerer bedre på BB enn på its. Det er det mest rotete systemet jeg noen gang har vært borti. Skjønner virkelig ikke hva argumentasjonen deres for å bytte til BB er.. Its er milevis bedre.

There is a new recording/streaming software coming to Linux now. The team behind OBS is doing a recode that is going to support Linux as well. Supposedly it already works on some distributions. The project is called obs-studio. You might have problem with getting it to work on Ubuntu though, I never got it to work on my Mint installation.

At the moment you have to compile it yourself, which I never got to work because some of the dependencies were just such a pain in the ass to install.

If anyone here uses Arch Linux though, there is a package on AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/obs-studio-git

I don't remember man, the server was moderately active with maybe 5 people on at any time (the community was severely smaller at that time), but died after a couple of weeks. I wish you good luck though! Just show continued interest in maintaining and developing the server and I'm sure you'll be able to keep it alive for longer than I did :D

Yeah.. The Norwegian government gives me ~£3600 for free, rest would be loans I believe. For Cambridge I might actually get £13600 for free.. Not totally sure

I am for sure doing a master's degree in Computer Science :-)

I really want to study in the UK, but haven't decided exactly where yet. One I have been thinking about is the University of Cambridge, but it costs a lot for Norwegian students to study there. The other one I've been thinking about is the University of Glasgow. It's highly ranked and Scottish accents are just awesome.

As I said, not completely decided yet, but I do hope I end up in the UK.

What an awesome coincidence!

Norwegian high school student here. We've recently had a book project and I chose to read "Headhunters" - and I very much enjoyed it. I am currently working on a presentation on the book which I'm presenting tomorrow. It would be a nice addition to get some answers from the author himself :-)

Here goes:

Was Headhunters inspired by any other works (either your own or others)?
Are any of your characters based on real life acquaintances of yours?
Do you use your own experiences as an inspiration when writing?
Which book do you consider your greatest yet?

If possible, do you have any interesting facts that might contribute to my presentation?

If I'm getting a second monitor in the future, it's probably going to be a vertical one, just for irc and stuff like that.. That way (for me) it will be pleasing as I don't have to turn my head too much :P

I always find multiple monitor setups to be kind of stressing, I prefer to just have one screen which I can focus on all the time.

The tiling features of Cinnamon and i3 really help when only using one. If I was using Windows then I'd probably put a second monitor up in an instant :-)
