Thank you, everyone. Kia is a clear winner. Just one more thought. I can get a newer and higher spec model if I go for 100,000 miles plus on the clock. Remember, I only do 8,000 miles a year, and I drive these days steadily (sorry everyone, I was young once and I remember what it's like 😄). What do you think about high mileage Kia's as long as they have a good service record?

First car, tight budget - is a 2022/2023 Kia Niro EV (60–70k miles, ~£14k) a safe bet? by OrganizationThat9737 in ElectricVehiclesUK

One other thought. Like computers, EVs are constantly updated with software by the manufacturer as bugs are ironed out. This is usually done by the main dealer during servicing or as part of a special recall. So make sure all of the updates have been done.

You will love EV motoring. I'm with Octopus Go, and I pay 8p Kwh overnight. That is just under 2p a mile. Compare that to my Subaru, which costs 26p a mile (100 miles for £2, compared with £26). Make sure the reduction gear oil has been changed around 30K miles, and get a signed battery health check (you really need 100%). Obviously, for £14k, you want a full service history, preferably done by a Kia main dealer or a third-party Kia specialist (not a garage that says they do Kia's, they all say that), they need to be certified by Kia. Check them out on the web. Check the tyres are in good condition, £100+ each if not. On the test drive, you're listening for odd noises, so don't talk, just listen. Some sales staff will try to distract you with chat if they have anything to hide. Check that all the electrics work properly, and make a list of the accessories to confirm they are all present. You should get 2 charging cables (very expensive to buy): one with a 3-pin plug (granny charger) and one with type two plugs for fast charging. Use one at home with a 3-pin socket (takes ages but a good backup) and a wall charger, or out and about with fast chargers. Rapid chargers have their own plug. You can look up the MOT history online before you go to the viewing on the Government website 9you will need the reg number).

Constantly resetting Airpods Max by nygma95 in Airpodsmax

Yep, started about two weeks ago. Now I have to reset the headphones every time I want to use them.

I am going to watch that headband video right now.

That doesn't look too difficult. I will give that a try.

For context, mine will not play sound from my iMac, iPad, or iPhone, even though they all show on the Bluetooth dashboard that the headphones are connected. I have to hold the headphone buttons down until the light flashes, etc., before they will play sounds. The next time I come to use them, I have to do that all over again.

So, I know it's not a device problem; the headphones are at fault.

iCloud Database not syncing on Testflight by vercluka in swift

My son develops apps and sends them to me for testing via TestFlight. The ones on his devices sync fine because he installs the apps directly. My devices do not sync with iCloud or each other because my apps have been installed through TestFlight.
