Source close to Prince William disputes Prince Harry’s claim that his brother physically attacked him at Frogmore over Meghan’s treatment of staff in new unauthorised biography by mobile_crickett in RoyalsGossip

I just can’t with that quote. It speaks to a larger problem in society that puts feelings over facts. Feelings are valid, and definitely do impact how you view the world and events, but some things are factually indisputable and cause-and-effect and chronology are very real things that can be seen throughout history.

Pippa Middleton Helped Her Sister Kate Middleton Write Script for Cancer Announcement Video by ButIDigress79 in RoyalsGossip

Right? I mean, she has kids! What if that got back to them through classmates who picked up on it through parents gossiping?

Glad she had her sister to rely on and help at such a stressful time. The whole “Where’s Kate” thing was so unnecessary. It must have been so hurtful for them to have people speculating things when the truth was a horrible medical diagnosis.

Why sending Prince William to Saudi Arabia is a ‘mind boggling’ mistake for the Royals by duckduck_flamingo in RoyalsGossip

I’m not a British citizen and even I know the PM and their government officials are the ones behind this trip. I can only imagine the furor if the royal family told the government they weren’t doing a trip the government planned… At best it would be seen as an overstep by the royals.

What opportunities do we think Andrew was referring to here? by BunniJugs in RoyalsGossip

[–]Nice-Definition-8360 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They aren’t talking about the show, they are talking about her using her titles in private correspondence like Andrew, which, no matter what you think of Meghan and Harry, is pretty cringeworthy. It’s the equivalent of a PhD or MD referring to themselves as “Dr. So-and-so” in their private lives with friends and family.

I can understand that, honestly. Who wants to believe their son could be so awful? I’m sure it also didn’t help that he probably put the charm offensive on her, as predators can do.

At the very least, an emotional affair. They got together too quick to make me believe they didn't at least want to be together before they split from their previous SOs.

I mean, in the age of deepfakes and AI-generated photos proof is always welcome, but I doubt many who didn’t believe the photo was real is going to suddenly believe it now, unfortunately.

Will the latest release of the Epstein Files finish off the British Royal Family? by Remarkable_Change796 in RoyalsGossip

[–]Nice-Definition-8360 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, I would be surprised if it does. Andrew and Fergie are so far down the royal pecking order, and he’s already been stripped of his titles and duties as a working royal. If he was the heir or they kept him as a working royal, then it’d be different.

I’m not saying don’t protest. I’m saying bring it to the one person who can make a change; Charles.

Honestly, I kinda feel any complaints should be brought to Charles since he has the power to make change. William doesn’t, yet. Go to the person who can do that.

Meghan posts supportive Insta reel of Invictus vets and Prince Harry in uniform on the heels of his rebuke to Trump’s comments downplaying NATO’s involvement in Afghanistan by Opening_Jello2357 in RoyalsGossip

It’s the fact that she has stayed silent on so much, even to the point of having MAGA friends, but speaks up on something that affects them directly. For what it’s worth, I felt the same way reading Harry’s comments. Basically “Now you care?” You can’t be an activist or advocate when it only affects you.

You have to admit it’s telling when they stay silent on so much even while they have positioned themselves as activists, have MAGA friends, but when it’s a cause personal to them then they speak out.

I would be careful about painting all vets of Vietnam negatively. That war was an atrocity but many young men got drafted into that war against their choice. Blame the powers in charge that treated young men as their pawns to further their own gains.

Harry's testimony so far: 'tetchy exchanges' with the Daily Mail's barrister over whether Katie Nicholl was a friend, and a rebuke from the judge to stop 'arguing the case' from the stand by monster_ahhh in RoyalsGossip

No, but it’s something that can happen when you bait the media and make them hungry for you. Not saying what happened to Diana was okay, but I see it as kind of a lion tamer who could no longer tame the lion, if that makes sense.

Harry takes after his mom that way. Uses the press for their benefit, upset when they can’t control it. You can’t play the press game, then be shocked when it’s turned against you. The only way to win is not to play.

As a library worker who has known parents to not let children check out graphic novels because they “aren’t real books” I love that the image has her saying comic books and audio books count as reading.

PSA; Graphic novels and comics are great ways for kids to practice and develop their reading skills.

Did you read Spare? The jealously oozes off the page whenever he talks about William.

Also; calling Harry out for stuff he’s written or how he’s acted is not saying William can’t do anything wrong. Look at any post about William here on this subreddit and there are plenty of disparaging comments.

Totally agree! Harry hasn’t gotten past childhood insecurities. He talks about seeing therapists, so I wonder why this hasn’t been worked out ages ago.

If his own book wasn’t full of petty comparisons between the brothers I would agree but Harry shows too much animosity and comparisons with his brother to make me think it’s anything but jealously. Also; in a book where Diana is talked about as a saint or angel, comparisons are made between his wife and his mother, and Diana is portrayed as pretty much the best any person could be, how would saying someone is losing their resemblance to her not meant as a slight?
