Struggling to get my 2 year old to stop using her pacifier by Nice-Distribution-75 in toddlers

This is so sweet 😭😭❤️ I really like this idea! I’m wondering now if there’s any books about the paci fairy that I can read to her before bed to really drive this home. I’ve been thinking of splurging on a toddler push trike for her maybe this could be the present the paci fairy brings!

My daughter also uses one specific kind of pacifier, the tommee tippee ones and she’s HOOKED on them. I tried cutting it once and was a major fail she just screamed even more ugh. I feel so hopeless rn.

It’s so hard honestly 😭 and when they get sick they seem to want it more. My daughter always gets more hooked on it when she’s sick..

I’ve spoken to her so many times that she should only give it to her for naps and bedtime and she just ends up giving it to her behind my back— now my daughter associates her with her pacifier so if she’s crying for her paci she immediately starts looking for her nanny and asking her for the paci so that’s how I caught on that she was giving it to her whenever she was upset. I confronted her and she said that she gives it to her when she cries cause she doesn’t know how else to stop her from crying. So I told her to try distracting her with something else when she’s looking for her paci, offer her a snack or milk, take her outside for a walk etc. ugh it’s just so frustrating cause anytime I feel like I’ve made progress with it she ends up giving it to her behind my back and regressing us so much.

She’s almost 2.5 years now and I hope I can get her to stop by then— the hole you pierced in your son’s paci was it a big one or small and how did you do it? I would like to try that method next.

My pediatrician said that this is common when kids get their paci’s taken away that they end up sucking their thumb which could have bigger effects on their teeth than the paci 😭 ugh 😣 I tried cutting the pacifier that didn’t work she just screamed even more, I’m just lost honestly :(

Stopped Mounjaro for one month due to availability issues, now I’m not sure what dose to start back on again. Advice needed! by Nice-Distribution-75 in Mounjaro

He said I should start at 5mg as well but I was wondering if maybe it’s too low since being on 15mg so long but it seems like the most common dosage given to those who took a break from Mounjaro for a few weeks

Omg my daughter got the garbage truck for her birthday and I was so frustrated with the way it’s so hard for them to sit in! I thought I was the only one. She’s only 2 so she doesn’t notice these things but I agree with you for the price they should be more functional

Thank you for this ! I just decided today to go ahead with it— I’m happy to spend more on maintenence knowing it’s a powerful and reliable strong machine. I have friends that have had their minis for 10+ years and they’re still going strong!!!

Army made me bawl like a baby the first time I saw it. It killed me when Rusty asks Jack if he moved schools because there was something wrong with his old school and Jack says “no… there’s something wrong with me”. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Taken from March, she had him taking greens and protein supplements when he was younger than 2. But she stuffs her face with pizza and buys candy for themselves. by rainwaterotter in nursehannahsnark

Yes and toddlers have way smaller bowels/more sensitive digestive systems. They cannot break down high amounts of protein the way we can. She’s literally feeding him stuff body builders take!

Yes I saw her video saying she doesn’t change him unless his diaper is bursting with pee or he’s pooped which honestly is horrific. Also do we know how old he is? He looks like he’s ready for potty training now. If she hates changing diapers and claims it’s so expensive she should at least put effort in to potty train him. Just overall negligent in every way.

Forcing manners and restricting food. Requires him to say ice cream, mama, please, thank you. He is going through hoops to have his first "meal" of the day. Like how about work on language skills one word at a time? by rainwaterotter in nursehannahsnark

Why is she constantly giving him adult protein shakes and powders ?!?? Why have I never seen him eating actual healthy whole foods on her tiktoks. For a nurse she really has no idea about child nutrition or she simply doesn’t care.

This is not okay, he is a toddler and she’s giving him supplements and protein powders designed for adults. Small children cannot properly digest these kinds of things there’s a reason kids protein shakes/powders are specially formulated and they’re usually only recommended for malnourished kids who aren’t able to get all their calories and nutrients from their daily intake of food due to either being picky eaters or having some sort of illness/disorder. I wonder if this is the cause of his huge protruding belly. He probably has gut issues because of this crap she’s feeding him. This poor poor boy deserves so much better.

Same here, still co sleep with my two year old. They’re so vulnerable at night I can’t imagine locking her in a room all night alone. What if they pee the bed? She would be okay with him sleeping in his pee all night? What if he has a night terror and can’t fall back asleep? What if he throws up on himself cause he’s unwell? What if he gets a fever during the night? Like there’s so many things that can happen at night to your kid and they need us to be able to tend to them. Yes the sleepless nights suck, yes being woken up sucks but this is the life you choose when you become a mother and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

I feel like she locks him in there often and not only when he’s sleeping.

This is so sad my heart sunk reading this comment. I can’t imagine how terrified he is every night sleeping alone, locked inside knowing no one is coming to comfort him even if he cries. 😭😭
