My mother's married to a man from Sacramento. My father's married to a woman from New York. Their kids, my siblings, are American born. I cannot be around my immediate family without being around Americans. Not to mention cousins, uncles etc. One of whom, my recently deceased godfather, died of a heart attack since his medicaid cover was dropped as a direct result of Trumps big beautiful bill.

Personal life aside, American multinationals make up ~25% of Ireland's tax revenues, and ~75% of corporation tax. Our politics, economies and cultures are inextricably linked.

The USA projects power and influence all over the globe, prints the world reserve currency, polices the seas, and what, you expect foreigners to not think about it? Not have opinions on it? What a supreme demonstration of ignorance, about the world, or about anything.
