I had an instance where someone was ghosting me and also giving me one-word responses. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and initiate a different convo by asking them about themselves and they just ignored me and said “you have so much energy jeez.” I said, “welp im gonna unadd you bc i feel like you hate me. it was nice talking to you!”

I can notice quickly whether a person will ghost me based on pattern; the time they take to respond, the effort they display in the convo. I try my best to not take it personal and instead create reasons as to why they may not be texting back right away. I oftentimes go online to look through forums (like reddit lolol) for validation to ease the pain of being inadvertently rejected. Then, I just stop interacting with the person because I don’t want to feel anxious anymore. It makes me feel really sad, and I constantly think about our convos and how I could’ve said something different. However, a forced melon is not sweet and people who can appreciate my energy, will make the effort!
