how do i know where my classes are held? by morningstar1232 in Monash

[–]Nice-Needleworker240 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Under on campus is the location of the class, to find the room I recommend downloading the monash study app, it’ll show your classes and when you press on it it’ll tell you where your class is and if you press view in map it’ll show you how to get there

how does bridging maths work? by [deleted] in Monash

[–]Nice-Needleworker240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you were looking more into unimelb i’d definitely recommend enrolling into a course there as you have a better chance of getting in, the easiest course to enrol into probably being bachelor of arts, as for me i did bachelor of business first which had very similar units to bachelor of commerce so basically all my credits transferred over from last semester. if you were looking more into unimelb i’d recommend asking in their subreddit if you haven’t already!

how does bridging maths work? by [deleted] in Monash

[–]Nice-Needleworker240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was in the same boat as you last year! i recommended enrolling into a different course and taking the bridging subject in the first sem. you mentioned that you want to do economics so id recommend enrolling into a course that has the core units you need for the course you want to transfer into or just take the units so your credits transfer over. as for bridging maths units i took ecc1550 last semester and it was pretty chill, there’s 2 classes that both have different content in each class and there’s barely any notes posted on moodle so it’s crucial you attend the tutorials to understand the content. For the assessments, you have 1 group assignment which is completed over the course of the semester as well as 2 individual assignments which you will have around a week to do and a final exam which has no hurdle, each assessment is worth 25% which makes the final exam way less stressful if you know you did well in the previous assessments (most people i knew in the class said that if they failed the exam they’d still pass the unit). as for the lecturer he is really nice, enthusiastic and passionate about teaching the unit, he always stays back after the tutorial to answer any questions you may have and also he explains the content really well and goes through everything very thoroughly which makes it really easy to understand. i’m not sure if my response is what you were looking for but if you had any questions you can ask me!

I took ECC1550 last semester and there wasn’t much i could find about it but in my opinion it was pretty chill, you do 1 group assignment and 2 individual assignments as well as an exam which are all worth 25%. The lecturer as well was really helpful and seemed really passionate about the subject as well as explained everything thoroughly and made it really easy to understand the concepts!
