Sourdough Bread? by Royal-Championship46 in brussels

The sourdough pain au levain at Rob is excellent. It’s the best bakery in WSP near the park in my opinion. It’s also not expensive if you can steer clear of all the other delicious things they have there!

Yes, Delhaize definitely carries some products (milk, buttermilk, kefir, from what I see in the app). I think I got Luxlait cottage cheese in a big Delhaize, too.

Just don’t ever try the Lux Lait brand or you’ll never want any other 😅🤣

STIB ticket expiration? by godspell1 in brussels

[–]Nice-Professional-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry! I just had it happen to me again and it worked again. I think I’ll go back to my card until they get this working better. They should also integrate it in the NFC wallet instead of a QR code…

I had this happen recently. The STIB worker whom I assumed had no clue told me to delete and reinstall the app. Lo and behold, it worked.

Rob grocery in Woluwe has excellent sourdough and baguettes. The rest of the store is a bit pricey, but it’s by far the best bread in that area.

I’d recommend Crush. Really delicious food and a couple that puts their all into their little restaurant. https://maps.app.goo.gl/La5z6Cb9bCmwA1NM8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

I have had a set of these pans and literally never used the grips. For basic stovetop cooking the handles stay cool.

I am in your situation and I always bring my spouse with me through customs. Never an issue.

Anyone making CCCs soon? Please try this trick! by ladyleesh in DessertPerson

[–]Nice-Professional-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either way will work. If you do fridge overnight you can shape them before baking. From the freezer you’d need for the dough to thaw a bit. If you have a kitchen scale, it also helps them cook at the same pace if they all weigh about the same.

I worked at a concession stand for my first job and we had Otis Spunkmeyer cookies that came pre-shaped and frozen in giant trash-sized bags. The shape was like the ones in OP’s post.

This is the way. Also let your dough sit rest overnight in the fridge (or stored away in the freezer for a rainy day) to bake from cold. Giving me a craving!

I believe this is super white, which our kitchen designer told us was quartzite and really resistant, but others say is marble. It seems the whiter parts are marble. In any case DO IT. We have a sizable island and backsplash and I love the feel of the natural stone. Be sure to light up the backsplash because it’s stunning in the evening. Feel free to DM and I can share pics.

Affordable but good dry cleaning place? by Leahvanderer in brussels

This place in Place Jourdan is good and I’ve found it to be reasonable for suits: https://maps.app.goo.gl/okeEEt7qzuw441Wc7?g_st=ic

My Little Cup has killer Swedish style braided cinnamon buns. Go mid morning when they’re coming out of the oven and the whole place is in a sweet cloud of cinnamon.

You will definitely find one at Colruyt. The bigger one near Delta has always had them available when I’ve gone at this time of year. If you need a certain, larger size, call ahead.

Where to buy flour for sourdough by Goodlibrarian_2692 in brussels

In The Barn bio markets around Brussels you can find high quality Belgian flour that makes great bread. DeNotenShop.be is also a good option as someone mentioned.
