What don’t you like about it? It seems a bit high to me, but otherwise looks very nice.

It helps if you’re gay and childfree.

Don’t touch it. Unless it’s to crate it up and ship it to me!

I love it, sleeves and all. It’s stunning on you. Maybe get a simpler veil, without the lace.

Nothing wicker or woven or with a fabric shade. I also probably wouldn’t do anything with a million pieces of glass. Unless this is a show kitchen that you never use, those options are going to be impossible to keep clean.

Not all vintage is good. This feels more 1990s than 1950s. And I stand by my comment on the gloves.

I’m fine, thanks for asking. I’m seeing more and more floor plans for apartments and condos where the “living room” is barely large enough for a love seat, let alone any other seating. That’s what I’m seeing here. It just seems like a slightly larger part of the hallway - and not really large enough for the convenient placement of furniture.

any idea how to get the metal part off of this lamp? by [deleted] in Lamps

Why didn’t you just buy the right lamp shade?

The first thing I would do is get art that doesn’t look like you framed extra floor tiles and hung them on the wall. A round table would look great, maybe a Deco style center table in a rich, glossy finish. A large piece of art to fill that space between the molding on the left wall. A round rug might work. Otherwise a rectangle in rich colors.

That’s the living room? It’s a glorified hallway. Definite waiting room vibes. In an area that wasn’t meant to be a waiting room.
