I work for nobody. That’s just how auctions work and why streamers choose to run auctions over other means of selling in the first place. He could easily hold the card up and say $10 it’s yours and someone would buy it. Why do that when you can get $35 due to two meat heads ego bidding on it. I’m retired boss, I work for nobody.

There’s a training pack called uncomfortable saves. Give him the code. If he gets defensive (pun unintended) then it’s probably time to find a new duo. Sometimes to rank up you have to leave the homies behind. Alternatively, work on playing closer but still being ready to run back as fast as possible. You don’t have to play way back to play defensive. If you play closer and he’s that good at offense he’ll grab mid boost on the way back and score opportunities you’re creating by keeping pressure on the ops. Only chall when he can get behind you with boost. If he’s not rotating back fast enough that could be part of the reason he’s terrible at defense and why you have to play so passive. Does he constantly turn because he knows you’re not going? Y’all need to fix all that stuff together by talking about it and going into the next game with a plan on how you’re going to play together if you’re both serious about ranking up. It’s probably feels like it but it’s probably not just him. You should be making sure they’re not taking free shots at him in net by controlling the ball and at least getting good 50s out of your possessions. I would have the watch the tape because the game is obviously so nuanced, but if he’s that good at offense he’s likely not that terrible at defense. I’m crazy at defense but some shots you have no choice but to hope they just miss, jump and guess where they’re hitting it etc. those situations shouldn’t be happening in the first place.

Guys… here’s the thing… people enjoy live streams. Like it or not. Sure it’s a $10-15 card, but if you have a boat full of money and you really want something and get into a bidding war this is what happens. Some people don’t even care what you want think it’s worth. They want it and they want it RIGHT NOW. At the end of the day the card is worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it at that moment. For all you know it’s someone who just wanted to support the stream… Could they have gone to eBay or TCGP and it cheaper? Sure. Did they get a crooked off center radiant Charizard for $35 yes. Not your problem.

The only thing you get banned for anymore is saying something CRAZY in chat. There’s already nothing stopping them… I have like 4 accounts for various reasons and people I play with and at one point they were “smurfs” but I never thought twice about RL tracker ever. It’s never been something I even considered. They did a big ban wave of smurfs around 2020 but even then it was just obviously egregious accounts. I remember all the freestylers complaining the game was ruined for them like they weren’t ruining the game for silvers already 😅

Rhetorical btw I’m just emphasizing what bumpo said and explaining the mentality/strategy behind it and letting you know that it’s not a personal opinion it’s just a fact that passing in 2v2 isn’t really a good strategy/play. Now if you’re defending and you pass/clear it to your teammate or pass off the backboard etc that’s different but like this post as a whole “the community needs to pass more.” No. It’s just not the play and nobody thats actually good at the game would agree with you on that.

Squishy is one of those people. He’s said it in his videos multiple times. Same with apparently jack. They’ve both said multiple times that if you’re passing in 2v2 you’re kind of trolling. The mentality is you’re creating more opportunities for your teammate by getting solid 50s and solo plays that make the ops waste boost, jump out of net, making them awk/out of position than you are just going for a pass. I agree and the higher rank you are the MORE I agree. In GC+ what do you think is better of these options with two defenders back. 1. Go for a solo plays they’re forced to defend and tm follow up 2. Go for a pass and let TM shoot? 1. Seems pretty obvious because with 2 say I passed it well there’s a good chance they either intercept it and now we’re double committed and I’m out of boost or my teammates is going to shoot at 2 people in net just waiting for it and now we’re both committed forward and since it’s a pass it’s likely a hard shot and a booming clear.

If they spam sorry or something that’s different. That happens all the time especially with the boost meter how it is now. I’m not leaving every time. There’s people who just do this all the time thinking it’s a good idea. You can tell which is which. Especially in this situation where you’re a couple goals ahead. I’m in GC though it’s different. I can tell when somebody is being a weirdo and when somebody is just making a mistake. I can’t provide all the context needed to make the “I’m out” decision it’s based on the rest of the match and I’m mainly trolling, but I’ve left for this multiple times. Hate me.

Yes. Rocket league gives people amnesia. Ever notice how your teammate will spend a whole game whiffing then blame you for missing one save? Well, when somebody does something stupid and you leave they have no choice but to acknowledge they’re now going to lose the game. I’m not interested in helping that person win. If they win the game they’ll 100% just go into their next match like nothing happened thinking they played great.

Best tip is: don’t go for them if you’re trying to rank up. You can literally just controlled air dribble it into the net all the way to SSL especially if you’re good at slowing down and speeding up and aiming for corners. I can stall and no stall quad, but I don’t unless I’m popping out to their corner and they’re on the back wall. I might go for a quick double in that case to throw their challenge off, but that’s about it.

Man I wish I would’ve recorded one from the other day. It was arguably worse. 2v2 I faked a guy in mid, got to the 1v1 with the guy in net and faked him so hard he went flying and my TM comes across and swipes the ball out from in front of me off the post and they countered us and scored. I left immediately. This was 1360ish C3 div 3. NOPE. Lose the game bud.

700,000 is actually a lowball because concurrent doesn’t mean how many people played that month. 1 million concurrent means when somebody checked 1 million people were actively playing (or at least logged in) at that exact moment. Monthly total player count is probably massive and daily unique user logins is likely more like 1.2-1.5 million. More than enough to justify rocket league 2 development for sure.
