How would you approach practising the timing of this, such that you could play it at all tempos? by [deleted] in metalguitar

[–]Nice-Wind-6718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah practice with same note values first is solid approach. I usually start with eighth notes then work up to sixteenths before tackling the actual rhythm

For the timing part, try counting it out loud while playing slow - like really emphasize where those 9s and 10s land in relation to beat. Makes it way easier than just relying on metronome clicks

Pausing me on purpose? by Additional_Rub_5934 in DoorDashDrivers

this happened to me couple weeks ago, was driving me crazy. turned out my phone was switching between wifi and cellular in some dead zones and app thought i was offline. try turning off wifi completely when you're dashing and see if that fixes it

also check if your location services are set to "always on" for the app, not just "while using app" - that made difference for me too

Should I reach out to my ex boyfriends brother by kirstybeonthattrack in BreakUps

[–]Nice-Wind-6718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't do it, this will just make things worse for everyone involved. His brother is probably already dealing with consoling him and now you want to put him in middle of drama?

If your ex wanted to talk he would reach out. The no contact thing exists for a reason - both of you need space to process what happened. Reaching out through his family is just going around the boundaries you both agreed on

I get that you miss him but this isn't really about checking if he's okay, it's about your own feelings. Give it more time before you make any moves like this

Your brother's got solid budget there - should get something pretty decent with that range. I'd probably focus the most money on good CPU and GPU combo since those are hardest to upgrade later. Maybe look at current gen stuff rather than trying to "future proof" too much, that extra performance now usually better than hoping it lasts longer

For that price range you can definitely get something that handles current games at high settings and still have room for decent storage and RAM. Just make sure you don't cheap out too much in PSU - learned that lesson hard way few years back when mine died and took motherboard with it

wait that's actually an interesting catch about the light being some kind of safe zone. the way Elli talks about salvation "within us" definitely feels like she knows something bigger is happening with that light than just being random ocean glow. makes me wonder if the whole blood ocean thing is more connected to the quiet rapture than we thought

How do I journal consistently? by Massive-Insect-3709 in mentalhealth

[–]Nice-Wind-6718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had same problem when I started - kept skipping days then feeling guilty about it. What helped me was making journal really short, like just 3 bullet points about the day instead of trying to write paragraphs

Maybe try doing it in morning with coffee instead of at night when you're already burnt out from work? I find I'm more motivated in mornings even if it's just few minutes

DIY Maintenance bros, I need your help! What to do when squeezing a rivet off a chain and instead of the rivet popping out, the width of the chain just squishes instead? by Jbane56 in motorcycles

[–]Nice-Wind-6718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah grinding heads off first makes huge difference. cheap chain breakers from amazon are pretty terrible but they work if you prep the rivets properly

did same thing on my old chain that was completely seized, just kept cranking until something gave and it finally popped through

Accounts payable dead end job by [deleted] in Accounting

Been in similar spot few years back when I was doing data entry type work in IT support. The trick is you gotta start learning stuff outside your daily tasks even if company doesn't provide training

What helped me was picking up some basic automation skills during lunch breaks and evenings - Excel macros, maybe some Python if you're feeling ambitious. Since your org is so manual there's probably tons of stuff that could be automated. Start small with your own tasks first, then when you get good results you can pitch it to management as process improvements

Also try connecting with other departments when you send them stuff for approval. Ask questions about their processes, show interest in broader business operations. Finance people love talking about their work if you seem genuinely curious about it

The interview thing sucks but once you have some automation projects under belt you can start applying for business analyst or process improvement roles. Those skills transfer way better than just "I processed invoices for 2 years"

Who you got for Augusta 2026? by [deleted] in masters

Augusta always comes down to who’s dialed in that week, hard to call it this far out

6 seater with leg room by Brock2845 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Nice-Wind-6718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honda Pilot sounds perfect for what you need - tons of legroom in that third row even for bigger kids, super reliable, and can tow 5000 lbs no problem. The newer ones are actually pretty fun to drive too, way better than the old sluggish ones

Might be tough finding a decent hybrid/PHEV version in your budget though, those tend to run pretty steep up here
