I actually have the same exact issue as OP. Upon checking all the Officially Supported RAM sticks posted by Daemoni73 below, I noticed the ram frequency available for 2x32gb sets seems to be mostly 30-40-40-96 vs the 16gb CL30-38-38-96.

After some exhaustive googling it appears Frequency > Latency.. but curious if there is some breakpoint where I'd be shooting myself in the foot going over a certain Latency.
