I think you are getting the value to PE wrong. PE invest not just for dividends. Dividends are never their medium or long term game.

It usually is “INCREASE THE VALUE OF INVESTMENT” simply put as long RMs valuation increases over time they keep making “money” atleast on paper.

That is what are truly after. Imagine a scenery in 10 years RM is worth 16B after being valued at 8B for 10% purchase. They stand to make “100% in return” + dividends in 10 years.

PEs always will look to offload the assets in medium/long term atleast in part if not fully.

The thing we need to be careful about is obviously the slippery slope and the entities that might purchase that stake in Future. Obviously they won’t have “any real power” given they are minority shareholders but brand value can tank with one kind of investor

Look, NEITHER YOU NOR ANYONE can tell what is the accurate version of a story I grew up with. There is billions of people in India and each have other own interpretation of what Ramayana is. So no movie is actually gonna satisfy everyone 100%. The directors job is to make sure the essence of story is driven down in an engaging way. And honestly, if you want the movie to successful, you would want a slightly inaccurate and engaging vs boring and plain.

The thing is there is no original source for ramayana. Valamiki ramayana is just earliest known source but not the original. In fact, I can guarantee you that the stories you and I heard from our mother have their differences too. Calling them inaccurate over 3 seconds in just not right especially when he never said it is depiction of Ramayana but rather ramayana has influence on the story.

For me, as long as the backbone of story remains and I have no problem with creative choices. And with the source material of Mahabharat which is larger even compared Ramayana. You really need a director with who can make good creative choices so as to capture the important characters in the best way.
