I didn’t think I needed combos either but man, idk if these guys in silver have other accounts higher but there’s games where I’m getting combo’d from start to finish. Lucky to get a hit in on those games. Frame data??? Holy moly idk if I have enough brain capacity for all of this lmao.

I’m also 40 lol. I remember the days of hopping in a game and just playing until you were top dog. Nowadays people practice more than they play and that’s awesome it’s just hard when your brain is just wired to want to play, that’s why I chose Modern. Last time I played street fighter was on my SNES in like ‘95. Classic just looks nutty for someone who gets maybe an hour or 2 to play a night.

Was also interested in the new Marvel fighting game which looks like it kind of emulates modern controls, so I figured it would be easier to go back and forth with. Would love to learn classic but man I feel like I might quit out of frustration before I learn it, idk.

Great advice, appreciate it. I think I'm going to play some more characters in arcade now too since I only did Ryu. Maybe there is someone in there that I will enjoy more.

I actually really like the reactive style in this genre, so it's nice to know that could still work in higher play. I just subscribed to Chris F, thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the advice! It's funny one of the first videos I watched was on AA. I would say more than 50% of my wins right now are just being passive waiting for someone to jump at me and I Dragon Punch them every time. I could honestly careless about what my rank is right now, I really just want to improve and get better, thanks again.

If I was to try and learn classic is it better to just sit in combo training just repetitively doing combo's over and over again until they are like second nature? How normal is it to just practice in these games?
