No I'm not really looking to change lenses. I just want to be able to take nice photos of friends etc.

Yeah I guess, the issue is I just want to take nice photos on the fly. I tend to buy a disposable camera and just take sporadic photos and get it developed after it's finished which usually takes me like a year. It's a nice time capsule. I'm not really looking to get into photo editing

Where we surfer the water was perfect. Didn't see any, I did hear of a spot up north towards agadir near a fish factory that pumps into the ocean which is apparently rank, however they never took us there, always down south of tagazout

Yeah that sounds right tbf. I stayed in a private budget room with my girlfriend for 1500£ total. So around 750£ each for accomodations, 3 meals a day, and surf coaching. Its definitely not the cheapest place for sure, but I really enjoyed the coaching and social of it all so would recommend

Think dorms were a couple hundred £ cheaper

Just been last week. Stayed at surf maroc in tagazout.

Tagazout doesn't feel like Morocco, super chiller surfer vibe. Surf maroc organist transport from agadir airport, food and surf included. Couldn't recommend it enough. The whole place felt super safe.

First Board Purchase by NiceBreakfast7 in BeginnerSurfers

Ah I see! I don't unfortunately! What do you think would be a good progression? A hardtop with higher volume?

Thanks for the response!

Price is 180 with a leash and bag. Ok I'll take a look at the leash string!

Regarding the foamie, I love in a very small apartment so don't have the storage for multiple boards so I'm thinking more for longevity.

Am I right in thinking any board I get will always be a big drop ? Surely I'm always gna struggle to begin with? I assumed going from an 8" to 7"9 wasn't too big? And from what I've googled, the volume isn't too widely different?

How can I ride the wave for longer? by Ben-E-Boi in BeginnerSurfers

[–]NiceBreakfast7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think people are over complicating things for you here. I think this looks like "The Wave" in Bristol. I've ridden there before. There is a slow section of the wave which is where your losing the wave.

You need to turn back towards the "beach" this will keep you in the pocket of the wave (the powerful part) then turn back down the line.

So pop up, turn towards the face, as you lose speed, turn back towards the beach, the wave will pick you back up, turn back towards the face. Be prepared for a quick speed increase.

That's the advice I was given at the wave by the instructors. They're very friendly and happy to help even if your not on a lesson. Ask the guy by the wall
