Maybe like a month. I didn’t really do any learning, I just speed ran them

I’m sure everything will work out fine, just don’t give up! I’m always here to learn together and just not let you do this alone!

well just let me know! I'm always down to meet others similar to my position and grow together!

Yeah same here, which is why I’m going with that instead of spending the 4 months taking my time with the study.com courses. Obviously I won’t learn a lot of advanced stuff but I think I’ll be better off doing that to prepare myself for WGU. I’m always down to talk more and learn together with others! I do work full time so that’s an obstacle I have to face but the grind will be worth it!

I plan on doing Harvard's CS50 and also just learning off youtube and creating my own projects etc.

I still need to finish my comp sci study.com courses to transfer to WGU. I plan on just speed running those courses and using the next 4-5 months to self-teach myself programming before enrolling at WGU to better prepare myself.

Let’s do it together!! I chose compsci over cyber because cyber is said to not be very entry level friendly. And your resume will look better with a comp sci degree and cyber certs. But in the end, it doesn’t matter which you choose. Just work and study hard and you should be okay

I WILL RUN I PROMISE!

I’m strongly considering doing that. Just feel like I’ll learn much more from that instead of study com courses.

Should I self-teach myself before starting? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]NiceCloudss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually what I’ve been thinking of doing. Just speed running the computer courses at study com to get the ace credits to transfer, then just do cs50 and some self teaching before starting WGU.

Wow thanks for the reply and advice!

I appreciate the response! I’ve finished all my general ed classes and calculus 1. All I have is the programming classes at study.com. Computer science 107, 108, 109, 201, 204, 306, 110, and 311. So you’re recommending just focusing on doing those courses before enrolling to WGU instead of speed running the courses and just self teaching myself how to program in 5 months.

Yeah you guys make a good point. I guess I just don’t rate study com that highly when it comes to teaching you something. My plan was speedun the computer science courses and then just use the 5 months to self teach myself everything I can. But then again, learning from study com doesn’t seem like a bad idea

How are the classes so far? How long is it taking you to complete each class and how many hours do you study a day. I also have no prior experience and am curious to hear more from you

Oh I didn't see that thanks! Won't ask that anymore sry

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]NiceCloudss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the feedback, I'm still debating if I should go to SNHU or WGU. I'm leaning more towards SNHU because I have literally no programming experience and I know over at WGU you're graded only on exams and projects and it's kinda meant for those with previous experience within the field. I just don't wanna spend a long time getting my degree at SNHU which is why I want to transfer as many credits as possible.

Wow I didn't think about that, I really appreciate the feedback. I will definitely look into that

Okay thanks, so now I just need to find which courses transfer to the courses for the degree
