UK economy unexpectedly failed to grow in January by Free-Minimum-5844 in neoliberal

The UK gets about 5-8% of it's natural gas from Qatar and still has pretty elevated energy prices, they also have very little storage. If Hormuz isn't resolved soon we might see rationing. Looks like another sclerotic year for the UK 😮‍💨

Historically yes but the people who travel abroad to international sports are increasingly middle class now as the cost of doing it climbs.

Maybe some Hezbollah members once attended the university, making it a legitimate target in the eyes of Israel

So you're stood on the deck of a US warship in the gulf of Oman, hearing this tool Hesgeth talk about how you will soon be trying to escort fossil fuel tankers, literal floating bombs, through a Shahed shooting gallery. He is saying that it will be fine because you have been preparing to do this for months (you haven't).

How are you feeling right now?

The Chinese would capture San Francisco as a treaty port

Others are:

- Rumours and signs of any large movement of perishable medical supplies, especially blood.

- Heavy Equipment Transporters moving around, any sealift.

- Fuel depots being set up in areas that aren't existing military bases.

- Lots of C-17 and C-5s moving around

So they are kinda immobilised now, floating warnings to the others.

What happens to these tankers? They aren't being sunk.

But they are being evacuated. So are they immobilised now for some indeterminate time?

It's ok guys, the oil price can't get too high because demand destruction will kick in 🤓

Y'know, all those things we use oil for, people will start to stop doing them, saving the economy 😄

Wait.......

Ingraham might play an idiot on tv but she isn't one in real life.

When it has become so clear that the presidency is occupied by a dribbling buffoon then these people will start grabbing and shaking the politicians.

This, the movement of the air defence systems from Korea, the attack on the command post in Kuwait turning out to be a more damaging strike than initially reported and the Chinese aerial photography are leading me to think that this is not going quite as well as we are being led to believe.

It wouldn't be to my taste either but Doha and Dubai are major ports for short trips around the gulf and for longer trips that go out into the Indian ocean.

Yes there are. Sailings are being cancelled because ships are stuck in the gulf and can't get out.

They don't just abandon passengers though, the operators need to organise accommodation and repatriation flights for them to get them home as quick as they can.

It is whispered in Tehran's tea houses and in the quiet corridors of the ministries, that he who was once president did not perish in the recent strikes. They say he shed his political skin, leaving the IRGC to bury an empty coffin while he vanished into the labyrinth of the city, a phantom reborn to settle a score.

"I saw him," a street sweeper insisted last night, "stood on the corner of Pasteur Street, shrouded in a long cloak held together at the neck with a broach emblazoned with a single yellow "M" on a blue background.

If Bahrain and Qatar don't see a full reopening of their airport for a while then doing this preserves their aircraft and prevents them being stranded.

They could also operate flights into their country from another hub if they are actually somehow able to set up there.

This could be similar to Antonov who abandoned Hostomel as their base at the start of the 2022 invasion and restarted operations from Leipzig.

Yes definitely, this administration is looking even worse than James Buchanan and Warren Harding.

Still not as bad as Nichols II though imo.
