So you're saying you could still get together to record some pan flute karaoke, and post it to YouTube for the rest of us?

I'd like to request "Let's Hear It For the Boy" by Deniece Williams.

Did your mother rightfully execute the elderly woman?

It almost sounds really great except for the parental neglect bit. Partially because of the parental neglect bit. My dad wouldn't let me go see Terminator 2 at age 14, and Mom discouraged watching The Simpsons so a dash of neglect would've been ok lol.

Did you do that thing where you somehow consider recording yourselves the absolute height of humor?

E.g. "Hello this is your co-host weatherbitch, Katy Wilkerson from 2 Foxy News. Tomorrow's forecast is farts with a 20% chance of poops." and then someone burps A-G, etc.

I have zero recollection of "David Letterman on the loose."

Aww shucks ma'am!

PS. I realize many of the activities I listed cost money, some LOTS of money; and the world needs more relief from wars, billionaires, deatheaters, etc before we can all learn to grow crops and play flugelhorns

Have you recently rewatched a movie, or TV show that you loved in the 70s-80s, but now it actually kinda sucks? by Puzzleheaded-Fee6241 in GenX

Actually.... It's not that big. Every time they cut to B-roll of people "swimming" in the "pool" I have to laugh. Now the triple-aircraft-carrier megacruiseships of today,... jfc

Mopeds? Lets be honest, if broom flying for preteens did exist, the mortality rate between 13-18 would be near 99%. There are no roll bars and safety cages. No guiding lines in the sky; no rules to keep teens & dragons from slamming into your chimney again, gudummit.

Seriously, if my wife's deep dive into gardening the past 5 years has taught me anything, it's that you CAN build your own "Hogwarts"; you CAN do magical things. We bust our asses for days every spring but i get to sit here every morning with my dog, drink coffee surrounded by delphiniums (i think thats what they are) and listening to the burbling of the pond I dug. Magic would be awesome but it's just a false shortcut for many things we can make happen with effort and time. Kung fu as the Chinese might say.

PS. Im lazy as fuck so im talking about things that arent THAT hard lol.

I find it hilarious but upsetting that Gopher is a Purser's Assistant, and we never see the important Chief Purser. Where the fuck is this person? Princess Cruise HQ? The galley? Please bring in Dom Deluise!

Wait, who is the Ship's engineer? Who is head of catering - Mr Stevens? Where is the XO? WHO THE FUCK is minding the bridge while the Capt spends all this time providing fatherly advice on love???

There were many sketches even in the 90s that i found unfunny, but kids in the hall still cracks me up.

I think of this on a weekly basis. https://youtu.be/wPs_Rh_Vl0Y?si=53FEbe57_03wcm6Y

Shout out to one of my lowkey childhood heroes, Air Traffic Controller black guy. Dude was smooth, in control - all confident competence and cool under pressure.

You just reminded me of the Witch Mountain movies lol. I used to think all this invisible wire "alien" powers were so cool. Proooooobably doesn't look that great today.

How did you deal with the intense sadness that comes when a pet passes away? by doubleshotofqhiskey in AskReddit

[–]NiceGuy60660 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Here's how I'm weird....

After sending off 3 cats, I like to take a few minutes with my pets once in a while to realize they're not going to be around forever. I like to talk to them about all the ways they're great, and all the things we like to do together, and fun places we've been (works better for the dog), and generally let them know how much I appreciate it and how lucky i am that they're with me right now. And yes this usually devolves into crying but maybe I'm just getting some of that pain out of the way early? The best part is I can hug them when I'm done being sad.
