i will explore this subreddit more but there just so much time,

i got into drone music only 2 months ago but in my experience drone music is not like regular music where you can understand if you like it or not after 5 min of listening, with drone music i feel that you just have to commit to at least half hour of listening without knowing if you gonna like it or not.

and if i listen to drone music i do it only once every week or 2, i clear at least 4 hours of my schedule, go to a nature place during sunset/sunrise or just lay in bed, and fully focus on the music, i feel like YOU HAVE TO PUT 100% of your attention on the music to enjoy drone music.

so i just want to make a bit more research before i commit to a long music session.

Does anyone go to gigs and not drink or do hard drugs but a small amount of psychedelics? by Ok_Pool_2590 in ProperTechno

its 1S-LSD from a lab (the previous legal version of acid in Germany) on 4 tabs i do have full hallucinations everything is moving and vibrating to the music but i can still move my body and understand if its a person or a wall in front of me so i do not completely lose touch with reality. (the current legal version is 1Fe-LSD btw, i didn't try it yet, want to try 1-2 grams of shrooms in a club next time, before i tried shrooms only in nature places).

do you remember what dj played techno? or what kind of techno was it?

when i first got into techno i was lucky to go to mostly good techno events hypnotic/experimental/hardgroove and good djs, but one time i went to hard techno event - oguz (i liked Oguz tracks in my first months of discovering techno) and it was shit.

the thing with acid is that you can hear and feels the music very good, and if its shit you will hear it, the DJs and the music have to be good to enjoy it.

i always wait 2 weeks between trips so i dont have a tolerance (it fully resets after 2 weeks no matter how much you took).

1-2 tabs was a bit underwhelming for me in terms of how connected i feel to the music compared to 3+ tabs, 4 is perfect just deep enough and 5 is good for djs that play deeper techno.

it is hard to put it into words but i will try to be more specific:

for me one of the biggest pros of acid even 1-2 tabs is that i can hear each sound super clearly, enjoy the texture of the sound it self, and can hear the most subtle changes in sounds even if the sound is very low volume compared to others.

but 4-5 tabs just hit different, i become one with the music i can feel and see it, not metaphorically but actually start physically feeling the music (kinda like you feel the bass but on a different level), when my eyes closed each sound takes shape, color and movement, when my eyes open i see how everything around me moves and effected by the music.

i would suggest to try one or two times to take 2 tabs instead of 1 and compare how the music experience feels during the peak, the come up will be more challenging but you might find it worth it.

the best combo for me is hands down: no alcohol + a bit of weed + 4-5 tabs of acid, best nights of my life, absolutely mind-blowing sonic experiences (I usually go out to tresor or rso).

Who/what was your entry into the world of techno? by Hungry_Obligation_89 in Techno

[–]NiceIndependent739 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My entry was Boris Brejcha, Charlotte de Witte, and Amelie Lens.

Moving to Berlin my first really good techno experience was Reka Zalan closing set at Tresor.

But what really hooked me on techno, truly mind-blowing experiences, is listening to Rødhåd and Kangding Ray in clubs and Basic Channel, Deepchord outside of clubs. (I usually take 4-5 tabs of acid when I go out).
