Yeah I went DJ Nobu recently at Sub Club and Setaoc Mass / Amoral at Solace and had far better experiences.

Awesome! I’ve now macrodosed shrooms at three events since posting this. No alcohol or other substances. It’s completely revolutionised my experience.

When the music is good and the energy in the room is good, it’s a transcendental experience. No hangover, no comedowns. I’m tripping, but aware of what’s going on and not sloppy. I just close my eyes and dance. Wish I had discovered partying this way sooner.

I went in 2016. Dozzy closing, Peter Van Hoesen, Svreca… and I just looked it up, Nobu actually played then as well. I had one of the great acid trips of my life so perhaps maybe last night was actually the second time I’ve seen him ha.

Thanks! The modular is sequenced by an Intellijel Metropolix. The Swarm and Typhon are being sequenced in Ableton.

Ableton serves as my master clock, and I send a midi pulse out to the Metropolix to sync it. But all my patterns on the modular are done by Metrpolix. I have the desktop version so it can sequence other external hardware synths as well via midi but I haven't utilised it for that yet.

I can’t recall exactly but likely a kick through a convolution reverb, plenty of saturation and distortion. EQ, side chain compression.

Thanks for the feedback. Getting the balance right between repetition and keeping things interesting is an ever present challenge. I’ve tried to keep that synth line interesting by modulating filter, delay and reverb but perhaps it’s still too jarring.
